Free Concerts in Tahoe City 2012

It’s the peak of the summer season here in Tahoe City and there’s a lot to do. If you find yourself in the greater Tahoe City area, check out the FREE Summer concerts in Tahoe City on Sunday afternoons.

The free 12 week outdoor concert series is presented at Commons Beach (downtown Tahoe City) every Sunday afternoon/early evening during the summer months with the fun beginning around 4:30 p.m. and running until around 7 p.m. Here is the concert schedule present by the Tahoe City Public Utility District:

June 24: Early start 2pm, Blues Monsters, Dad’s LPS, Downbeat, Jellybread

July 1: He’s my brother, She’s my sister

July 8: Monophonics

July 15: Dead Winter Carpenters

July 22: Mumbo Gumbo

July 29: New Monsoon

Aug 5: Poor Man’s Whiskey

Aug 12: Trey Stone

Aug 19: Hot Buttered Rum

Aug 26: Samba Da (North Tahoe Jazz Week)

Sept 2: Local’s Last Waltz

Sept 9: Early start 2pm, Booster’s BBQ, Beer Gardeners, NT Jazz Band

Concert goers are encouraged to bring:

Only Low Back chairs.
Bring blankets, sleeping bags, and beach towels if you’re going to sit on the grass.
Wear sunscreen.
You are welcome to bring your own picnic basket of goodies, but you’re also encouraged to support the local food and beverage vendors at the event. Don’t forget to bring some water as our days are hot and dry!
The fun starts around 4:30 p.m. so come early for a good seat, food, and people watch before the concert begins!

Come out and enjoy a wonderful late afternoon and early evening of great music on the beaches of Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, California!
