Oktoberfest – Tahoe City Sat Oct 1 2016
Did you miss the Squaw Valley Oktoberfest event last week? If you did, this is your chance to get out your lederhosen out and still enjoy the Tahoe City Oktoberfest event!
This is the third year that the Tahoe City Oktoberfest will be held at the Gatekeeper’s Museum (also known as Layton Park) at 130 West Lake Blvd., in downtown Tahoe City, California, this Saturday, October 1, 2016 from noon to 6 p.m.
The Gatekeeper’s Museum is located next to Fanny Bridge and for those who are new to the area, Fanny Bridge crosses the outlet to Lake Tahoe that flows into the Truckee River. Need another familiar landmark? It is right across the street from the Bridge Tender restaurant on Highway 89 S.
We have a nip in the air, and temperatures will only be in the mid 60’s this weekend, so put on a sweater and head for the Tahoe City Oktoberfest event this Saturday!
We went to the Squaw Valley Oktoberfest event last weekend and we had a blast. The food, music and beer were fantastic! I’ll admit, we even indulged in the kids’ root beer floats and they were awesome too! If you missed last weekends’ event, check out the Tahoe City Oktoberfest this Saturday.
I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Lake Tahoe than by listening to live music (The Space Heaters and Surprise Special Guest), having an ice cold beer, and watching those who are brave enough to dress up in Bavarian themed clothing and hula hoop.
In addition to live music, beer on tap, games, there will also be brats and other German BBQ food items to select from.
Even if beer and brats aren’t your thing, just spending the afternoon outside at the Gatekeeper’s Museum grounds here in Tahoe City and taking our great fall weather will be a great way to spend the day.
