Oktoberfest, Tahoe City 2012

We have a nip in the air, and the leaves on the trees are turning color. While our Tahoe mornings are cool enough for a light sweater, our days are still warm and sunny.

It’s time to get out your lederhosen and get ready for the Tahoe City annual Oktoberfest event will be held at the Cobblestone Center in downtown Tahoe City this Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Lake Tahoe than by listening to live music, having an ice cold beer, and watching those who enter the wiener toss go for the win. Yes, I said it, the annual wiener toss!

If beer isn’t your cup of tea, try the German wine tasting at the Uncorked Wine and Cheese Shop, which is located in the corner of the Cobblestone Center. So there will be something for everyone.

Just spending the afternoon outside here in Tahoe City will be a great way to spend the day. Here are the details of the Oktoberfest event in Tahoe City:

Event Activities: Brews, Games, & Brats! Live Music and Dancing, Games and Crafts, Weiner Toss, Stein Hoisting, Tricycle Races, Apple Bobbing, and Pumpkin Painting
