What is your Star Harbor Condo worth is a question both sellers and buyers may be asking. This is a real estate market activity report for the Star Harbor Condo for sale – as of September 2016.
The Star Harbor Condo development is just outside of the downtown Tahoe City – North Shore, CA area.
The Star Harbor Condo development is currently the only North Shore lakefront condominium development in the area that has its own boat marina. It is located at 2350 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, CA 96145.
The Star Harbor Condo development is located approximately 1.5 miles east of the “Y” (stop light) in downtown Tahoe City on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.
The Star Harbor Condo complex was built in the 1970’s. It is a small lakefront condominium development with approximately thirty (+/- 30) units. What is unique about the Star Harbor development is their private boat marina, with enough spaces for each owner to have a slip (must be under maximum boat size to use slips)
There are two (2) types of units in the complex a three (3) bedrooms and four (4) bedroom floor plans. All of the units are two stories/levels with the living room and kitchen located on the lower, ground level. Most of the units have some type of view of Lake Tahoe ranging from panoramic to just a peek.

- Some Units have an assigned detached carport parking space.

The entire complex is a lakefront development with access to a beach area, pier, buoys, seasonal pool, two (2) tennis courts, and a boat marina. It’s a boaters’ delight!
Star Harbor Condo Buyers will find that at any one given time, the selection may be very limited, and you may have to wait if you are looking for a specific unit combination, or location within the development as the selection of condos for sale in Star Harbor is very limited, and exclusive with only +/- 30 condos.
Historically, turn-over in the Star Harbor development has been very low, with 5 out of the last 12 years having no reported public MLS (Multiple Listing Service) Sales.
Finding condos for sale in the Tahoe City area will be easier than in other communities with over 1,200+ condo units being built in the area.
If you are looking for just a lakefront condo for sale in Tahoe City, again, this community will offer a Tahoe Condo Buyer the largest selection with over 386+ condos that were built and located in just lakefront condo developments.

Use caution when only a handful of sales are available in a neighborhood. The percent changes can be significant and numbers are easily moved in either direction. Using the Lake Tahoe-Truckee Regional data may be a better source for over-all market trends.
The Star Harbor complex is in a great location in the greater Tahoe City area. The paved bike/walking path passes right in front of the complex, and next door on the other side of the marina is a public park.
Star Harbor is near the US Coast Guard Station, and is a short distance to downtown Tahoe City, restaurants, shops, movie theater, and a 9-Hole Golf Course (summer) and cross country skiing/season ice skating rink (winter also at the golf course).
Star Harbor is also very close to Skylandia Park, the public beaches at the end of Bristlecone Road (one side of the beach is dog friendly), and the neighborhood Sugarpine Cakery (gourmet coffee, cookies, bars, and sandwiches) on Lake Forest Road.
The central location also is close to the near-by ski resorts of Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Homewood Ski Resort.
