Farmers’ Market in Tahoe City – 2015 Schedule

The seasonal Tahoe City Farmers’ Market is a sure sign that summer has arrived in Lake Tahoe and seeing the signs on Thursday morning in Downtown Tahoe City is a great reminder that the Tahoe City Farmers’ Market is once again open for business!

You may not know that our local Tahoe City Farmers’ Market program begins in May and runs well into September.

Local farmers and merchants from the greater Auburn Foothill area and the North Lake Tahoe area bring in their goods for sale into the downtown area of Tahoe City, California.

Items that you may find depending on the season are breads, pastries, jams, vinegar, olive oils, artesian cheeses (love the Cheese Lady from Dedrick’s Cheeses), meat, fish (yes, Craig is a big fan of The Little Fish Company and their Hawaiian Style Ahi Poke, and yes, you can pre-order for pick up at the market), honey, herbs, mushrooms (yes there is a vendor that offers just mushrooms), onions, beets, kale, chard, arugula, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, artichokes, asparagus, apples, strawberries, blue berries, black berries, apricots, peaches, depending on the season you’ll find a great assortment of fresh food, not to mention vendors.

There are also non-perishables for sale which may include clothing, jewelry, soaps, lotions, and there is always the surprise of a new vendor!

If you you’re in the mood for something to eat right now, you’ll find specialty food vendors, which vary from week to week, but you may find crepes, cupcakes, and Indian food.

This Farmers’ market group is part of the Foothill Farmers’ Market and they also provide Farmers’ Market events in the Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Folsom, Auburn and now for the summer season on Thursday mornings in Tahoe City, and Truckee (twice a week) Tuesday Mornings at the Truckee River Regional Park, and on Thursday evening at the Truckee Thursday events.

You’ll find the Tahoe City Farmers’ Market open every Thursday morning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations:

If you’ll be in the greater Tahoe City area on any Thursday between May 28 through the end of September, watch for the signs in downtown Tahoe City and make sure to stop by the Tahoe City Farmers Market! It’s a great way to get some wonderful produce, fresh baked goods, and to just enjoy being here in Lake Tahoe.
