Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance Homewood CA – 2016

Summer in Lake Tahoe would not be complete with out the 44th Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance in heart of Homewood at the Obexer’s Marina on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, California.

This will be your chance to see over 60 amazing wooden boats on display at this years’ event with this years’ Marque Class focused is on the Chris-Craft Racer built from 1947-1954!

Over the past few years the Concours d’Elegance has had a theme to the event. In 2015 it was the Vintage V-12 Engines, in 2014 it was the “Barrel Back” wooden boat, in 2013 it was the “Furth Collection”, and in 2012 it was all about “Rivas”. This year in the spot light is on the “Chris-Craft Racer” wooden boats!

If you’re a boat lover, or someone just who appreciates art and the fine workmanship that comes from these beautiful wooden boats (Can you say 18+ coats of varnish?), then you’ll enjoy the Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance this weekend.

The main event start this Friday, August 12, 2016 and runs through Saturday, August 13, 2016 in Homewood, CA. You’ll have all day to look and admire these boats, and if you purchase the additional Wine Village ticket, you’ll have even more to do and a place in the shade to enjoy it.

Friday, August 12, 2016 – The 44rd Annual Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance Homewood CA – 2016

Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance show opens 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Obexer’s Boat Company in the heart of downtown Homewood, CA

One day ticket $25/person (advance) | $30/person day of show

Two-day ticket $35/person (advance) | $40/person day of show

Wine Village Friday, August 12, 2016 – 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. must be 21+ age cost is $25/per person plus your must already have a show ticket. Space is limited and the event will sell out.

Saturday, August 13, 2016 – Show opens 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Obexer’s Boat Company, Homewood, CA.

One day ticket $25/person (advance) | $30/person day of show

Wine Village Saturday, August 13, 2016 – 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. must be 21+ age cost is $25/per person plus your must already have a show ticket.

Roar Off At 4:00 p.m. Watch them roar off onto Lake Tahoe!

Just a reminder this is the third year that this event will be held in Homewood, CA on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe and will not be held in Carnelian Bay on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.

A few show going tips:

Plan ahead for heavy traffic in this area, and along the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. This is a sell-out event, which means a lot of people wanting to be here.
Be patient as you look for a parking space.
Wear comfortable shoes as you may find parking spaces several blocks away and you’ll want comfortable, flat shoes for walking to and from the event.
Wear sunscreen, hat, and be prepared to be in the sun with out shade.
Drink plenty of water and if you have a Wine Village ticket, pace yourself, and plan to have a designated driver take you home, or pick you up!

It’s just a few weeks until Labor Day weekend, and now is the time to enjoy our sweet summer days. Our weather is perfect – hot in the day, cool enough at night that you’ll want to have a sweater nearby, so don’t miss out on seeing this amazing display of wooden boats!
