Shop Local Contest – North Lake Tahoe 2013

It’s that time of year, when you’re making your shopping lists and getting ready to shop, find unique gifts, and win great prizes in North Lake Tahoe, California. The 7^th Annual Shop Local Contest in North Lake Tahoe begins on black Friday, November 29, 2013.

There are so many reasons to shop local and support the North Lake Tahoe business community. Not only are you supporting local employers, saving gas money by staying in the area, you’re also putting your money back into the local Lake Tahoe – Truckee community, as dollars spent here, tend to stay here.

According to the www.VisitTahoeCity.org web site in their 2012 Shop Local Contest information “Researchers have proven that for every $100 spent in independently owned stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. If you spend the same amount in a national chain, only $43 stays here and if you spend it online there is NO BENEFIT to our local community.” Keep your holiday shopping dollars in our state, county, and community!”

Contest Period – Black Friday, Friday, November 29, 2013 through January 1, 2014!

Pick up a Shop Local Contest Card at participating retailers in Tahoe City, Kings Beach, Incline Village, Village at Northstar, and the Village at Squaw Valley.

Participating retailers are listed online at www.ShopLocalNorthTahoe.com

For every $25 that you spend at a participating retailer, you’ll receive a sticker for your contest card. Turn in your card in with four (4) stickers and you’re entered to win. The good news, you can enter as many times as you want, as long as you have four (4) stickers on the cards!

All contest cards must be received by Friday, January 10, 2014 at the locations listed on the card and you will be entered into the drawing.
