Wine Tasting Benefit – Kiwanis at Sunnyside May 1 2016

It may have snowed the other day, but nothing tells me the seasons are changing from winter to summer then the annual Kiwanis Community Benefit Auction and Wine Tasting spring fund raising event.

This is the 25th Annual Wine Tasting Benefit sponsored by the Kiwanis at the Sunnyside Resort, this coming Sunday, May 1 2016 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Tahoe City on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

This event always sells out each year, so get your tickets early.

The Kiwanis Club of North Lake Tahoe will offer goods and services for auction with an estimated value of over $50,000!

If you’re a shopper, or you like to be competitive, get ready to bid (live and silent auctions) on some great trips, golf and dinning packages, home maintenance, clothing, jewelry, accessories, art, wine, and many other wonderful items.

All proceeds go to benefit a wide range of local Tahoe community programs and in the past have benefited groups such as the Boys and Girls Club; North Tahoe High and Middle school sports and music programs; Excellence in Education Foundation; Arts for the Schools; Disabled Sports Far West USA; Food for local families in need; Concerts in the Park at Commons Beach; the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts; Annual four-year higher education scholarships; Big A (after school program); and Parents Night Out (childcare).

I have been to this local event several times, and between the wine tasting, food sampling, and the thrill of trying to beat out your friends at the silent and live auctions, it’s just a lot of fun.
