Free Summer Concerts at Tahoe City Commons Beach – 2014 Schedule

Tahoe City will once again have their free 12-week outdoor concert series. Each outdoor concert is presented at Commons Beach in downtown Tahoe City (you’ll find Commons Beach area right across the street from the Cobblestone Center) every Sunday afternoon/early evening during late June, July, August, and early September.

Lake Tahoe is a great place to be in the summer, and if you haven’t been to a beach concert here, now is the time to make plans to be in Tahoe City so you can enjoy one of the Free Sunday afternoon Summer outdoor concerts at Commons Beach. It’s a good reason to your turn your summer weekend visit to Lake Tahoe into a three day stay!

The fun begins any time starting around 3:00 p.m. with most concerts beginning at 4 p.m. and they will run until around 7 p.m. All concerts are subject to weather permitting conditions. Here is the 2014 Summer concert schedule present by the Tahoe City Downtown Association and the Tahoe City Public Utility District:

Aug 31, 2014: Joy & Madness / Groove Foundry – Early start at 3 p.m.

Sept 7, 2014: The Nibblers / NTHS (North Tahoe High School Jazz Band) Community Picnic – Early Start 3 p.m.

Concert Goer Tips:

Only Low Back chairs (If you bring high back chairs be prepared to sit on the side, or in the very back)
Bring blankets, sleeping bags, and beach towels if you’re going to sit on the grass.
Wear sunscreen!
Bring Water. Our days are hot and dry!
No dogs are allowed at Commons Beach, so plan ahead for a doggie sitter at home!
You are welcome to bring your own picnic basket of goodies, but you’re also encouraged to support the local food and beverage vendors at the event.
The fun starts around 3:00 p.m. and we have dates with the music starting at 3 p.m. instead of 4 p.m., so come early for a good seat and enjoy some people watching before the concert begins!
This event is FREE and all ages are welcome!

I’ve gone to many of the Sunday Tahoe City free Summer Concerts at Commons Beach over the years, and I can tell you they are a lot of fun to be at!
