You may not know that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) and in support of healthier breasts, you’ll want to be at the 8th Annual Pink Party in Truckee, California on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Moody’s Bistro.

This year the theme is Fifty Shades of Pink.  There will be music, food, fun, and proceeds go to support breast cancer awareness and local breast cancer patients programs.

This year’s Pink Party is sponsored by the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation.  The Tahoe Forest Hospital uses the most advanced technology to perform comprehensive breast screening exams and the latest in digital mammography.

This is the 28th year the Tahoe Forest Health Systems has celebrated National Breast Health Awareness Month, and even though October is almost over, it’s still not too late to call and make an appointment for a breast screening by calling 530.582.6510.  There are also a limited number of free exams and mammograms through the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.  Call 530.582.3277 for eligibility.

Lighter Shade of Pink Party 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. $50/ticket

Live music, Special Culinary Creations, and the opportunity to purchase exclusive, limited wines by the taste, or glass.  Ticket includes admission to “Laters, Baby” Party

Laters, Baby Party 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. $25/advance ticket, or $35/ticket at the door

DJ music by DH Silver Boom Box Thief, Pizza and Salad Buffet, $10 raffle for great prizes, Steamy Door Prize Drawing, and Best male and female Costume Contest
