The Alpine Manor Condominium / Townhouse complex is a very small, mountain-side development in Alpine Meadows.

Alpine Manor Condominiums development only has thirty-two (32) units just steps from the Truckee River and minutes to the ski resort.

Since the Alpine Manors complex is small, and units rarely come on the market, here are all of the Alpine Meadows condos that are currently for sale in the area:

This condominium / townhouse development is located a the entrance to the Alpine Meadows community, next to the River Run condominium development, on the west side of the Truckee River and the River Ranch Lodge and Restaurant.

Owners enjoy the convenience of being located approximately three (3) miles to the parking lot/ski lifts at Palisades Tahoe at Alpine Meadows (formerly known as Alpine Meadows Ski Resort) and they are just three (3) miles to the beginning of downtown Tahoe City.

This small condo complex was originally built in several phases. and you will see the different styles in the buildings in the development reflexing the different time periods.

The Alpine Manor first phase was built in the mid-1960s (1966) and the second phase in the early 1970s (1974).

There were several floor plans with either a two (2), three (3), or four (4) bedroom configuration with some of the units having a one-car garage.

The Alpine Manor complex is a wonderful place just to sit back and listen to the sound of the river, soak in the beautify of the Tahoe area, or take advantage of nearby world-class recreational activities like skiing, walking, hiking, or the beaches of Lake Tahoe.

Owners enjoy several on-site recreational amenities including a seasonal pool and Bocce ball court.

Owners can also join the Alpine Springs Community Park (just up the road), which includes a sandy swimming pond, tennis courts, volleyball court, BBQ/tables, and grassy play area for an additional fee (the annual family pass was $150, rate subject to change, with daily/weekly passes also available).

The Alpine Manor condo development is very close to the River Ranch Lodge and Restaurant, which is rich in local history and has been around since the late 1880s and is a local landmark in the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area.

Originally the River Ranch was called the Deer Park Inn, which was a popular place for the San Francisco- Bay area socialites to enjoy in the summer, as the train used to run along the Truckee River bringing them into the area.

The Deer Park Inn did well until the great depression when it fell on hard times.

The current building for the River Ranch was built in the 1950s, and today you can enjoy your favorite drink after a fun day on the ski slopes, or in the summer you can dine out (lunch and dinner service) on the patio and enjoy watching the water rafting trips end on the Truckee River.

Sometimes Buyers confuse the River Run condos, which are located right next door as part of the same complex, but they are two separately run organizations.
