Arts and Crafts Festival, Truckee – Sept 12-13, 2015

It’s the 8th Annual Truckee Arts and Crafts Festival in Downtown Historic Truckee this weekend!

It will feel like summer here in the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area and this weekend is the perfect time to check out the Arts and Crafts Festival in Truckee this Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Downtown Historic Truckee will be closed off to local traffic between Bridge Street and Donner Pass Road on both Saturday and Sunday for the Arts and Crafts Fair and with over 60 professional artists get ready to see some wonderful work.

This is your chance to not only shop the local artisans that will be here in the Tahoe area for the two-day arts and crafts festival, but a great way to shop year-around Truckee businesses that are also located along main street.

This is the last arts and crafts festival until next year, so if you haven’t been up to Truckee, or North Lake Tahoe this year, for most of Northern California and Northern Nevada, you can still get to the area in just a few hours.

This is a great way to start your holiday shopping and find that unique gift for that special someone. If you just purchased a second home here in Tahoe this is a great place to find that special piece of “Tahoe” art, crafts, and/or other items that are unique to our area to help you with your final decorating touches.

Being outdoors here in September is a wonderful time of year to be here in Lake Tahoe. Our late September days are filled with sunshine and with temperatures expected to be in the mid 80’s on Saturday and Sunday, it will still feel like summer! What better place to enjoy your September days than by being here in the Truckee – Tahoe City area!

If you are a super-shopper don’t forget to also check out the Gourmet Marketplace at the Northstar Village on Saturday, Sept 12, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 13, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. where you’ll find a wonderful collection of gourmet and culinary vendors.

I have gone the past two years and really enjoyed the free cooking demonstrations and found some amazing gourmet treats, with the hand-made chocolates being one of my favorites!

The Gourmet Marketplace at the Northstar Village is part of the 30th Annual Autumn Food and Wine Festival in Northstar, which has a number of cooking demonstrations, and food/wine events (combination of fee and free events) this weekend.

If you’ll be in the greater West Shore, Homewood, Truckee, Tahoe City, or Kings Beach, North Lake Tahoe area this weekend be sure to stop by the Truckee Fine Arts and Crafts Fair. It’s a great way to spend some time and enjoy being here in Lake Tahoe.
