River Run Condos for Sale:

The River Run Condominium complex is a very small, intimate Truckee River-front, development with only twenty-nine (29) units in Alpine Meadows, CA.

The River Run condo complex is the only riverfront condominium/townhouse development on the Truckee River between Tahoe City and Truckee.

The River Run riverfront condominium complex is located next to the Truckee River (non-highway 89 south side of the Truckee River) and is across from the River Ranch Lodge and Restaurant.

The River Run condominium development is centrally located close to the downtown Tahoe City area, the Alpine Meadows Ski Resort and the Palisades Tahoe / Olympic Valley ski resort area.

The complex was originally built in two phases. The River Run first phase was built in 1982-1983 with twenty-four (24) units that were either a one (1), two (2), or three (3) bedroom configuration and none of those units come with a garage or carport parking.

The second phase was built in 2001-2002 with four (4) additional units that featured three and four-bedroom configurations with an attached two-car garage, for a total of twenty-eight (28) units.

Home Owner Association (HOA) fees for each unit does vary depending on the size of the unit. Just as an FYI, some agents have marketed these newer, larger units as single-family homes, even though they are zoned as condos.

If you like the idea of hearing the sound of moving water then the River Run development should be at the top of your buyers’ list.

It is a wonderful place just to sit back and watch the river move by while soaking in the beauty of the Tahoe area.

You’re also located near recreational activities like walking, hiking, using the paved bike path that runs in front of the River Ranch, or taking advantage of the HOA amenities in the development.

River Run condo development amenities have included a year-round, in-ground spa/hot tub, seasonal swimming pool, and tennis court.

Unit owners can also join the Alpine Springs Community Park, which includes a swimming pond, tennis courts, volleyball court, BBQ, and grassy play area for an additional fee (the annual family pass has been around $150).

The River Run condo development is very close to the River Ranch Lodge and Restaurant, which has been around since the late 1880s and is a local landmark in the Tahoe City – Truckee area.

A little history on the River Ranch. Originally it was called the Deer Park Inn, which was a popular place for the San Francisco – Bay area socialites to enjoy in the summer.

The train used to run along the Truckee River bringing the visitors into the area. The Deer Park Inn did well until the great depression when it fell on hard times.

In the 1950s the current building for the River Ranch was built, and today you can enjoy your favorite drink after a fun day on the ski slopes, or in the summer you can dine out on the patio and enjoy watching the water rafting trips end on the Truckee River.

The River Run condos are easy to get to and are located close to commercial services in Alpine Meadows, Tahoe City, Olympic Valley, and Truckee.
