Soroptimist Toy Drive – Truckee, California
Counting today, there are only 51 days until Christmas Eve, and it’s not too early to start preparing for it. The Soroptimist International of Truckee Donner group is now preparing for their Annual Toy Drive.
This local group has collected toys for Truckee’s less fortunate children for the past thirty years. Last year the group received donated toys for more than 515 local children.
Your help and support can make a difference. As you begin your holiday shopping, pick up an extra toy, or two for donation. If you’re not a shopper, perhaps a financial donation would be easier for you and they’d welcome your support and assistance.
Beginning November 16, 2012, their Red Toy Collection Barrels will appear in many local businesses where toy donations can be made.

The Soroptimist organization is an international volunteer group for business and professional women, who work to improve the lives of women and girls in their local communities and throughout the world. The Soroptimist of Truckee Donner relies on charitable contributions to fund their local Truckee, California programs, which include: local high school scholarships, youth education, women and senior programs.
Now, more than ever, local community organizations like the Soroptimist need your help. As the holidays approach, this will be an opportunity to give back to the Truckee area.
