June is in full swing with the 11th Annual Truckee Brew Fest Saturday June 11 2016!

It’s time to kick-off your summer here in North Lake Tahoe by checking out this great annual local event presented by the Truckee Optimist Club at the Truckee Regional Park in Truckee, California this coming Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a fun, local Tahoe event and this year promises to be the biggest event ever with over forty (40) specialty brews from Northern California and Nevada breweries and two bands!

If you like to sample different local and regional beers, and you enjoy being outside soaking in our beautiful surrounding, while listening to great music, then this is the event for you!

This year the event will have live music by two bands – Lost Whiskey Engine (known for their Folk and bluegrass) and Coburn Station (known for their classic rock).

It’s a wonderful combination of beer tasting, food (brats anyone?), and my personal favorite, the thrill of a silent auction! Can you think of a better way to enjoy a Summer Saturday afternoon in Truckee?

The Optimist Club of Truckee is a non-profit group that has several fund raising events throughout the year. All funds raised go toward the youth of the Truckee community. Funds raised go to support their programs, which include: sponsorships, grants, and major scholarships for the youth of Truckee.

When: Saturday June 11, 2016

Where: Truckee Regional Park

10050 Brockway Road, just ½ mile south of downtown Truckee on Highway 267, Truckee, California

Time: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost: $30 per person in advance, $35 per person at the door. Must be 21+ year of age.

Entry includes all of your tastings during the event!

Designated Drivers admitted free and taxis are available!

For those worried about the Truckee weather always dress in layers. Our day time temperatures are expected to be in the upper 60’s this weekend so in the sunshine it will be warm, but in the shade it may be cool!

Remember to wear your sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and don’t forget your sunglasses. It should be a great day to be in Tahoe!

The North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area is a fantastic vacation and second home destination and the 11th Annual Truckee Brew Fest this Saturday June 11, 2016 is just the beginning of our win and beer tasting fund raisers, street fairs, festivals, free music and movie events that our area is known for, so if you haven’t made your plans to be here Tahoe, now is the time to do it.

For those that haven’t been to a previous Truckee Brew Fest this a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon in North Lake Tahoe! You’ll enjoy the beer tasting, food sampling, and the thrill of the silent auction. You know you’re going to have a lot of fun and you’ll be supporting a great local organization, who is focused on raising funds for the local Tahoe children.

The Truckee Optimist Club has raised nearly $20,000 from this event in the past years that went directly towards scholarships, grants, and programs for local Tahoe youth.
