Summer-time in the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area is an amazing place to be and with so many community events you’re going to have a lot of fun!

If it is a Wednesday between June 20 – August 29, 2018, it is a “Music in the Park” evening at the amphitheater located in the Truckee River Regional Park.

This popular local event is back and continues to grow, and should be even better this year!

You’ll find that there is a wide-variety of music, starting with a Beatles Flashback on June 20 to Rock, Blues, Latin/Swing, Country, and Rock and Roll Oldies.

Truckee Music in the Park - 2018 Schedule The kick-off of the Truckee Music in the Park starts tonight (June 20, 2018 the day this post was published), so you have ten (10) events (excluding July 4) that you can attend this season.

If you haven’t made plans to be in our area, now is the time to book your summer vacation plans to be here!

This local weekly event is admission FREE for everyone (as an FYI, financial donations are encouraged to help keep fund the concerts, and you’ll see the donation boxes at the event), so there’s no reason to not come and enjoy the event.

Summer is a great time to be here in Truckee and the North Lake Tahoe area and on Wednesday nights you need to find time to check out the outdoor music concerts in Truckee this year!

Concert Goer Tips:

Low Back chairs (If you bring high back chairs be prepared to sit on the side, or in the very back)
Bring blankets, sleeping bags, and beach towels if you’re going to sit on the grass/ground. If you bring along a small plastic tarp to put down on the ground first, you’ll stay dry as the grass/ground is damp.
Wear sunscreen!
Bring Water. Our days are hot and dry!
No dogs are allowed, so plan ahead for a doggie sitter at home!
Snacks/Picnic You are welcome to bring your own picnic basket of goodies, but you’re also encouraged to support the local food and beverage vendors at the event. They have a great selection of food and drinks to choose from.
The music starts around 6:30 p.m. , so come early for a good seat and to enjoy some people watching before the concert begins!
This event is FREE and all ages are welcome! Just as an FYI financial donations are encouraged and welcomed to help produce these events. Look for the blue donation boxes and give what you can.

This local event is incredibly popular, and visitors from all over the area come to enjoy the experience of being outside in one of the best mountain settings around

This is a fan favorite event for anyone in the area. Come out and enjoy a wonderful evening in downtown Truckee, California at one of the weekly Truckee Thursdays events and make this part of your must-do annual summer traditions!
