June 2026 is more than half over, and it’s time to enjoy some of our free special events here in the Greater North Lake Tahoe – Truckee, CA area!

Our local weekly summer-time outdoor events have started – music concerts, and farmers’ markets! 

We also have special events like the Tahoe City Art by the Lake, which is an event to put on your weekend calendar!

The Tahoe area works hard to show-off their artisans, and to provide commercial seasonal venues for artistic talent to bring out their works for sale.

This local event gives you the opportunity to see over thirty (30+) vendors showcasing a wide variety of custom, handcrafted items. 

In my opinion, one of the best features of this event is the location!  The fine arts and crafts booths are located next to the edge of Lake Tahoe providing a great setting and a unique shopping experience!

Once again the Boatworks Mall in downtown Tahoe City will be the host for this event, and I can’t think of a better way to enjoy an afternoon than by checking out what the professional artists and craftspeople have made.

While summer doesn’t officially begin until the 20th of June, this event on June 19, 20, and 21th, 2026 is going to make you feel that summer has already arrived!

At this year’s art festival you’ll find art, glass work, jewelry, photography, ceramics, and other hand-crafted items.

I have found that as time passes by, the items that I have purchased while traveling, and at these North Lake Tahoe – Truckee, festivals, fairs, and other special events in our area has become a marker of the season, and has become a treasured memory for me.  

After shopping at the arts and crafts fair, perhaps a late lunch, or cool beverage at one of the local restaurants will round out your day.

The Tahoe City Art by the Lake event is free to the public.

  • Fine Arts and Crafts Fair – Tahoe City | Friday, June 19, 2026 |  10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Fine Arts and Crafts Fair – Tahoe City | Saturday, June 20, 2026 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  
  • Fine Arts and Crafts Fair – Tahoe City | Sunday, June 21, 2026 (Longest Day of the Year for 2026) |  10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Location:  760 North Lake Blvd., (Lakeside of the Street) Downtown Tahoe City, California
  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day 
  • Admission – FREE Sponsored by the Pacific Fine Arts
