If it is a Friday, and it is June, July, or August in the greater North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area, then you’ll want to make sure you’re in the Downtown Kings Beach area to enjoy one of the FREE Music on the Beach concerts in 2026!

The live music concerts will start on Friday, June 12, 2026 and will run through Friday, September 4, 2026 (beginning of Labor Day Weekend). 

Back by popular demand, Kings Beach will celebrate July 3!  As a FYI, the event on July 3, 2026 is a Friday, and is being celebrated as a Kings Beach Day!!! 

On July 3, The Blues Monsters will play fro 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. as the shoreline transforms into one big beach-dance party!

We are so lucky to have so many fantastic, free, outdoor events that you’ll want to take advantage of all of them, including the summer Kings Beach downtown live music concerts on the sandy beaches of Lake Tahoe this year!

This year the event at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area is sponsored by the TOT-TBID Dollars at Work and local business sponsors.

The fun begins around 6 p.m. with food, beer, wine, and soda available for purchase – (no outside alcohol. or pets) and the music will start around 6:30 p.m.

Listen, dance, or just relax on the sandy beaches in Kings Beach and a great evening of music!

Event organizers have done a great job in scheduling a wide variety of music from week to week, making each week a special and unique event for you!

Kings Beach Summer Concerts – 2026

Where:  Kings Beach State Recreation Area | 8318 North Lake Blvd., Kings Beach, CA 96143

When:  Opens at 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Come early as beer, wine, and food sales begin at 6 p.m. with the music beginning at around 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Kings Beach Concert Goer Tips:

  • Arrive early!  The lake is full and our beaches are small these days, so seating can be limited.
  • Only Low Back Chairs.  If you bring a high-backed chair, be prepared to be on the side of the group, and at the back.
  • Bring blankets, sleeping bags, beach mats, and beach towels if you’re going to sit on the beach or grass
  • Stay hydrated!  Even with beverages for sale, you’ll still want to stay hydrated, so drink water!
  • No dogs are allowed at the Kings Beach State Recreation area, so plan ahead for a doggie sitter at home! 
  • No outside food or beverage (must be 21+ years or older for adult beverages).
  • The fun starts around 6:00 p.m. so come early for a good seat and enjoy some people watching before the concert begins!  As a FYI – Lake levels are very high this year, so beach seating is more limited.
  • This is a FREE event and it is appropriate for all ages!
  • All events are subject to weather permitting and safety protocol conditions.
