New Picnic Tables at Kaspian Campgrounds, Lake Tahoe

Just in time for the peak summer-season the Kaspian Campgrounds have put in new picnic tables in their lakeside picnic/BBQ area. This public beach area is located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe and is across from the Kaspian Campgrounds just before the entrance to Blackwood Canyon in Homewood, CA.

New Picnic Tables at Kaspian Campgrounds, Lake Tahoe You don’t have to be camping at the Kaspian Campgrounds to use the picnic/BBQ area. The tables and BBQ areas are free for anyone to use.

Most of the picnic area has lake views, not to mention it’s located right at the edge of Lake Tahoe. There are a number of new tables and there are built in BBQ stands for a true outdoor picnic. The picnic area has nice public bathrooms and there is fresh water to use. It’s a great area to have an outdoor lunch, or spend an afternoon, or evening. Located close to the bike path, this is a great spot to stop and take a break.

The Kaspian Campgrounds are located approximately 3.5 miles south of Tahoe City in Homewood, California on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

West Lake Tahoe, California

This is my favorite time of year here in West Lake Tahoe, California. I don’t know what I like the best – the warm summer days, the blue and I do mean blue skies, or the sparkle that comes off Lake Tahoe at this time of year.

Each day I try to get a bike ride in. While I will never be seen in one of those serious bike spandex outfits ready to ride the Tour de France (try Spanx® underneath casual sportswear), you will find me riding my up-right bike along the paved bike paths that are separate from the highway here in West Lake Tahoe, California.

As I ride along this spectacular stretch of Lake Tahoe, I love catching the scent of sun tan lotion as I pass by the people on the beach. I love seeing the children having fun in the water, chasing after their dogs, and just enjoying a great day on the West Shore beaches of Lake Tahoe.
