If you’re looking for a neighborhood that is within walking distance to Lake Tahoe and has their own private homeowners’ beach consider a Tahoe Park home for sale on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, California. The Tahoe Park neighborhood of Tahoe City, California is located approximately 2 miles south of the “Y” in Tahoe City in West Lake Tahoe, California.

The Tahoe Park neighborhood is charming. It is one of the older neighborhoods on the West Shore, and is known for its easy access and has the appeal of old Tahoe. The Tahoe Park neighborhood is a nice mix of older, smaller Tahoe cabins, along with newer, larger, luxury mountain homes. Alpine Meadows is located approximately 5 miles north-west of Tahoe City (North Lake Tahoe), or 12 miles south-west of downtown Truckee, California off California Highway 89 South.

Alpine Meadows is a small, low-key, ski resort area that is just south of Squaw Valley, California, home of the 1960 Winter Olympics.
