Fall Festival - Tahoe City Oct 15 2016The is a nip in the air and the leaves are turning color.  It’s that time of year when pumpkins, scare crows, and fall is every where you look in Lake Tahoe.

If you’ll be up in the greater Tahoe City area on Saturday, October 15, 2016, be sure to take some time to be at the  Fall Festival – Tahoe City Oct 15 2016, a pre-Halloween holiday event here in Tahoe City, California.

This year the Tahoe City Annual Harvest Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch event will take place at the Rideout Community Center on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in the Timberland neighborhood from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This is a great, local family fun, Tahoe City community event that will be fun for all ages.

There will be a lot to do and see. The children will have a great time with the Pumpkin Patch, Carnival games, Games, Hay Rides, Food, Petting Zoo, and it wouldn’t be a Fall Festival with out a Costume Contest!

Fall Festival - Tahoe City Oct 15 2016Now our weather tomorrow may not be the best, as they are forecasting rain, but if that should happen, they will move the event inside into the gymnasium, so no one will miss out on the fun!

If you have missed some of the other fun fall events in North Lake Tahoe  this year like the Tahoe City Oktoberfest, or the Squaw Valley Oktoberfest over the past few weeks you still have a chance to enjoy some fall, pre-holiday Halloween fun here in the greater Tahoe City area at this year’s annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch event.

Fall Festival – Tahoe City Oct 15 2016

When: Saturday, October 15, 2016, Starting at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Rideout Community Center, 740 Timberland Drive, Tahoe City, CA

Cost: All Inclusive Activity bracelet $15; Individual game/ride tickets may also be available the day of event.  Note:  If it rains and the event is moved inside the activity bracelet cost will be reduced in price.

No Admission Charge

Pumpkin Prices will vary.

The Star Harbor Condo development is just outside of the downtown Tahoe City – North Shore, CA area.

The Star Harbor Condo development is currently the only North Shore lakefront condominium development in the area that has its own boat marina.  It is located at 2350 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, CA 96145.

The Star Harbor Condo development is located approximately 1.5 miles east of the “Y” (stop light) in downtown Tahoe City on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.

The Star Harbor Condo complex was built in the 1970’s.  It is a small lakefront condominium development with approximately thirty (+/- 30) units.  What is unique about the Star Harbor development is their private boat marina, with enough spaces for each owner to have a slip (must be under maximum boat size to use slips)

There are two (2) types of units in the complex a three (3) bedrooms and four (4) bedroom floor plans.  All of the units are two stories/levels with the living room and kitchen located on the lower, ground level.  Most of the units have some type of view of Lake Tahoe ranging from panoramic to just a peek.

The entire complex is a lakefront development with access to a beach area, pier, buoys, seasonal pool, two (2) tennis courts, and a boat marina. It’s a boaters’ delight!

Star Harbor Condo Buyers will find that at any one given time, the selection may be very limited, and you may have to wait if you are looking for a specific unit combination, or location within the development as the selection of condos for sale in Star Harbor is very limited, and exclusive with only +/- 30 condos.

Historically, turn-over in the Star Harbor development has been very low, with 5 out of the last 12 years having no reported public MLS (Multiple Listing Service) Sales.

Star Harbor is also very close to Skylandia Park, the public beaches at the end of Bristlecone Road (one side of the beach is dog friendly), and the neighborhood Sugarpine Cakery (gourmet coffee, cookies, bars, and sandwiches) on Lake Forest Road.

The available level of condo inventory and the selection and options is much greater than in some of our other communities including the West Shore of Tahoe City, which only has four condo developments.  Other communities that have limited options are Carnelian Bay where there is only one condominium development for the area – Carnelian Woods, or down in Homewood there are only two condominium developments – Chambers Landing and Fleur du Lac.

The twelve (12) Tahoe City – North Shore condo developments are all located less than 3.25 miles of the “Y” (stop light) in downtown Tahoe City making them all very close to restaurants, stores, the Tahoe City golf course, which also doubles as a cross country and ice skating facility in the winter, along with being just a few miles from any of our popular ski resort such as Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, Homewood, or Northstar!

The inventory of condos for sale on the Tahoe City – North Shore side tends to have the most available inventory compared to other communities.

Just looking at the number of condos built for the Tahoe City – North Shore area at just over 900 units (not including the small 2, or 4 plex condo developments in downtown Tahoe City) compared to only 300+ condos built on the Tahoe City – West Shore area, it’s no surprise that the number of available units to select from is always going to be better on the Tahoe City – North Shore area.

If you extend your condos search to the West Shore of Tahoe City, you’ll have more condos to choose from including Tavern Shores, Tahoe Tavern, Granlibakken, and Cedar Point  (not included are condos of less than 10 units).

The selection of condo developments on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe is one of the largest in the area, but if you expand your search beyond Tahoe City you’ll have more options.  Even if you add in  Carnelian Bay, Tahoe Vista, or Kings Beach into the mix, the inventory selection will still be limited, so be prepared to make a decision quickly on new listings as new inventory priced right on the entire North Shore is selling quickly.

Tahoe Donner Fall Festival Sat Oct 8 2016If you don’t have plans for this weekend, consider driving up to Lake Tahoe and checking out the 7th Annual  Tahoe Donner Fall Festival in Tahoe Donner, Truckee, California this Saturday, October 8, 2016.

The leaves are turning color and you know the drive up here in the mountains is going to be amazing.

The Tahoe Donner Fall Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Northwoods Clubhouse.  Admission is free, but depending on what you want to do, the costs will vary depending on the activity, craft, or what food, or beverage items you may want to purchase.

While Tahoe Donner is a planned master community with some private facilities, this annual Tahoe Donner Fall event is open to the public, so get into the swing of the season with pumpkins, seasonal draft beers, BBQ, or take advantage of one of the fun events. There is typically something for everyone to enjoy.  Even your four legged fury friends are welcome in Tahoe Donner to take a dip in the pool for the annual doggie dip (in the pool off-leash, outside of the pool on a leash).

The Tahoe Donner Fall Festival will have arts and crafts vendors so you’ll have fun browsing the booths and checking out the hand-crafted goods and fresh harvest produce.

There will also be a number of activities in addition to the Arts and Crafts Fair, there will be a Beer Garden with seasonal beers, Live Entertainment, Music, Pumpkin Patch, Kid Carnival Area, Games, Contests, and so much more.

Here are the details of the Tahoe Donner Fall Festival in Truckee, California:

Tahoe Donner Fall Festival Sat Oct 8 2016

When:  Saturday, October 8, 2016, Starting at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where:  Tahoe Donner Northwoods Clubhouse, 11509 Northwoods Blvd., Tahoe Donner community in Truckee, CA

Parking:  Park at the Northwoods Clubhouse, or park at Trout Creek Recreation Center and taking the free shuttle to Northwoods Clubhouse.   Shuttles will run from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Cost:  Free Admission – Costs will vary by event, or food/beverage item,  Must be 21+ for the beer garden.

  • 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Beer Garden and BBQ, Kids carnival, Arts and Crafts Vendors, Doggie Dip Vendors, Bocce Ball Play, and Disc Golf Course open (3 holes)

Main Stage Schedule of Events:

  • 11-11:20 – Truckee Dance Factory
  • 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m Magic and Musical Act by Penney the Friendly Witch
  • 2- 3:30 p.m. Angele and The Wildwood Band
