31^st Annual Truckee Ski & Snowboard Swap, Sat., Nov. 2, 2013!

It’s happening right now, the 31^st Annual Truckee Ski and Snowboard Swap, Saturday, November 2, 2103 at the new Truckee Community Recreation Center (at the Pioneer Center Road Round-A-Bout Hwy 267 and Donner Pass Road) in Truckee, California.

The cost is only $2 a person, children under 12 are free, from 11 a.m. today until 4 p.m. This is a great way to get newer equipment at a fraction of the price.

You’ll find local representatives from Tahoe ski shops and the nearby resorts on hand to answer to your questions. You’ll find winter clothing, ski equipment, boots, boards, poles, hats, gloves, accessories, and items you probably never thought of but could really use.

This event is sponsored by the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District and proceeds from the event go to help the District’s Youth Sports Programs.

The leaves have turned bright yellow, gold, orange and red here in North Lake Tahoe and that means it time for some fall fun. The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe in Northstar will be hosting a pumpkin patch event this Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

I don’t know if you have ever been to one of the seasonal/holiday events that the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe has hosted in the past, but I have, and I can tell you they know how to do the holidays and seasonal events.

Last year, I went to the holiday tree lighting ceremony and kick-off party last December at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, and I can tell the Ritz-Carlton really knows how to do the holidays in a first class way! So I can only imagine how much fun their pumpkin patch event will be!

You’re invited to pick out a pumpkin and join in the fun with pumpkin painting, make your own candy apples, hot cider, and much more. If it’s anything like the gingerbread cookies, and s’more making that the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe did last December, you’re in for a wonderful treat and time!

If you’ll be up in the greater Tahoe City on Saturday, October 19, 2013, after you’ve been to the Tahoe City Annual Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch event at the Rideout Center head on over to the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe in Northstar and finish the day with their pumpkin patch event.

It’s that time of year when pumpkins, scare crows, and fall magic surrounds Lake Tahoe. If you’ll be up in the greater Tahoe City area on Saturday, October 19, 2013, be sure to take some time to be at the Annual Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch holiday event here in Tahoe City, California.

This year the Tahoe City Annual Harvest Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch event will take place at the Rideout Community Center on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in the Timberland neighborhood from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a great, local Tahoe City community event that will be fun for all ages.

There will be several local community groups with fun activities, along with selling snacks and lunch. The children will have a great time with carnival games, pony rides, jumping in the bounce house, face painting, costume contest, and so much more! Did I mention the Pumpkin Seed Hunt starts at 11:30 a.m.?

If you missed some of the other fun North Lake Tahoe fall events, or the local Oktoberfest’s earlier this month, you still have a chance to enjoy some fall fun here in the greater Tahoe City area at the Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch event.
