The banner is up in Tahoe City ~ “Share a Life” Donate Blood! This Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. the local Rotary Club of Tahoe City is sponsoring a Tahoe blood drive at the new Tahoe City Fire Station at the east end of downtown Tahoe City, California.

No appointment is necessary, just show up and give. If you’re going to give blood here are a few blood donation tips:

Eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to giving blood.
Bring a photo ID
Have a list of all medications you may be taking.

Why give blood?

There are many reasons why you should consider giving blood. Perhaps you know someone that has been ill and needed a transfusion.

Perhaps you just want to pay it forward for the “just in case” day for yourself.

Perhaps you just believe that it’s the right thing to do. Regardless of why, or what your reasons are, the need for blood is high and your contribution counts!
