What is your Chinquapin Condo Worth?If you’re a seller you may be asking what is your Chinquapin Condo worth?  This is a real estate market activity report for the Chinquapin Condo for sale – as of September 2016.

The Chinquapin Condo development is located just north east of the Dollar Point subdivision and is the last complex located in the Tahoe City – North Shore, CA area.  On the other side of Chinquapin is the beginning of Carnelian Bay!

The Chinquapin Condo development is currently the only North Lake Tahoe lakefront condominium development in the area that has over one (1) mile of Lake Tahoe shoreline.   It is located at 3600 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, CA 96145.

The Chinquapin Condo development is located approximately 3.25 miles east of the “Y” (stop light) in downtown Tahoe City on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe and about the same distance to the downtown commercial area of Carnelian Bay.

The Chinquapin Condo complex was built in the 1970’s.  It is the largest lakefront condominium development on either the North Shore, West Shore or greater Tahoe City area.  The Chinquapin development has approximately (+/- 190) units.

What is your Chinquapin Condo Worth?Chinquapin has an amazing forest setting that makes you feel as if you are miles away from civilization, even though it is close to everything.  Chinquapin is a luxury lakefront resort condominium development with a seasonal pool, seven (7) tennis courts, pier, buoy field and the entire complex sits on about 95 acres.

There are twenty-three (23) different floor plans within the development.  The complex has one (1) bedroom, two (2) bedroom, three (3) bedrooms, and four (4) bedroom floor plans.

They do have single floor units, along with multi-level units.  There are also some units with a two car covered carport.  The unit settings vary from lakefront, panoramic lake views, filtered lake views, pool views, tennis court views, and forest/garden settings.

  • 4 Bedroom Units between +/- 1,600 square feet to +/- 2,700 square feet

What is your Chinquapin Condo Worth?Chinquapin Condo Buyers will find that at any one given time a variety of condo options, but the selection for any one type of floor plan most likely will be very limited.

Buyers may have to wait if you are looking for a specific unit combination, or location within the development as the selection of condos for sale in Chinquapin can be very limited.

Historically, turn-over in the Chinquapin development has been very low, with a +/-5% or less turn-over based upon the public reported sales in the MLS (Multiple Listing Service).

Finding condos for sale in the Tahoe City area will be easier than in other communities with over 1,200+ condo units being built in the area.

What is your Chinquapin Condo Worth?If you are looking for just a lakefront condo for sale in Tahoe City, again, this community will offer a Tahoe Condo Buyer the largest selection with over 386+ condos that were built and located in just lakefront condo developments.

Tahoe City Condo Buyers will have eight (8) different lakefront condo developments (not including Rocky Ridge, which has access to lakefront amenities and is considered to be a hybrid mountain-side living for the condos but access to a private lakefront area) to consider including Chinquapin, The Northshore, St Francis, Star Harbor, Tahoe Marina Lodge, Tavern Shores, Tahoe Tavern, or Cedar Point.

Chinquapin is a short distance to downtown Tahoe City, restaurants, shops, movie theater, and a 9-Hole Golf Course (summer)  and cross country skiing/season ice skating rink (winter also at the golf course).

Chinquapin is also a short distance to the public beaches in downtown Carnelian Bay, restaurants, and miniature golf.

The central location also is close to the near-by ski resorts of Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Homewood Ski Resort.

If you have wanted to own, and be part of a luxury Tahoe resort development, Chinquapin is a top choice!   Owners enjoy many amenities, which includes lakefront access with one of the longest Lake Tahoe shorelines in a private association.

Chinquapin is known for its wonderful tennis center including seven (7) tennis courts – six (6) by the pool area and one (1) lakeside court.  A seasonal heated pool, playground area, and sandy volleyball court area.  Chinquapin only has 190 units in the complex, in a variety of settings with the entire development covering approximately +/- 95 acres of beautiful Lake Tahoe forest area.
