Toys for Tots, Sunnyside Resort – Tahoe City, California December 2013

Tonight, Friday, December 6, 2013 is the Toys for Tots Sunnyside Resort and United States Marine Corps Reserve Collection Party at the Sunnyside Resort in Tahoe City, California from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage along with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign is officially underway in the North Lake Tahoe area. Each year the goal is to collect as many toys for local Tahoe children in need.

You’ll find toy collection sites through-out the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area in many local businesses. You can bring your new, unwrapped toy to one of the four Toys for Tots kick-off parties, or you can drop off your new, unwrapped toys at any of the local businesses, including all Coldwell Banker offices, just look for the Toys for Tots banner in front of local businesses.

The Sunnyside Resort is the second of the four kick-off parties for the Toys for Tots collection parties. I went last year, and I can tell you it was a lot of fun.

Santa will also be present for photos and handing out candy canes.

Where: Sunnyside Resort, Restaurant & Lodge, 1850 West Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, California. Approximately 2 miles south of the “Y” in Tahoe City on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

When: Friday, December 6, 2013 – 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Cost: Bring a new, unwrapped toy for children ages newborn to 17 years

This is your chance to make a difference for the local Tahoe-Truckee area children so come out and have some fun at the Sunnyside Resort Toys for Tots event. It’s a way to give back and still have a fun evening!

If you can’t make the Sunnyside party, don’t forget that “The Gang” is having Game Night at Rosie’s Café tonight, December 6, 2013 starting at 7 p.m. Live music by Space Heater begins at 9 pm. (Adults Only). Bring a new, unwrapped toy to this event and help local Tahoe children and have a fun evening out!

Toys for Tots, Sunnyside Resort – Tahoe City, California

The Sunnyside Resort and United States Marine Corps Reserve are hosting a Chamber Mixer and Toys for Tots Collection Party on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Sunnyside Resort in Tahoe City, California.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage along with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign is officially underway in the North Lake Tahoe area. This year the goal is to collect 1,500 toys for local children in need.

The Sunnyside Resort is the first to host one of the four kick-off parties for the first Toys for Tots collection parties. I went last year, and I can tell you it was a lot of fun.

This year Sunnyside will be providing free appetizers, desserts, cocoa, and refreshments. Santa will also be present for photos and handing out candy canes.

Shopping for younger children is often easier, but older children need “toys/gifts” too. For children 13 – 17 years in age, the organization suggests books, school supplies, make-up, science projects, soccer balls and nets, basket balls, board games, curling irons, blow dryers, back packs, and when in doubt, you can always write a check (make it payable to “Toys for Tots Tahoe-Truckee”) and give a monetary donation. Any new, unwrapped toy/gift is greatly appreciated.

Giving comes in so many different ways, this is your chance to make a difference for the local Tahoe-Truckee area children so come out and have some fun at the Sunnyside Resort Toys for Tots event.

Nothing says summer time in Lake Tahoe like being on the Sunnyside Resort lakeside deck. Located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, in the Lake Tahoe Park – Sunnyside neighborhood, the Sunnyside Resort is a great year-around place to get a drink, or have dinner, but in the summer, hanging out on the Sunnyside Resort lakeside deck is one of the best places to be.

The Sunnyside Resort deck is one of my favorite places to be in the summer. I love the smell of the hamburgers on the grill, people laughing, the boats driving up to the marina, and of course the view of Lake Tahoe. Any drink you order here is always better. It’s a great place for a casual lunch on the deck, or to just meet friends and have a drink and appetizers. Give into temptation and have the fried zucchini fingers, they’re a local favorite.

If you want something more formal, their dining room and dining room deck area are also available for dinner and they take reservations. During the summer months be prepared to wait for a table on the deck as this is one popular place to be.
