If it is a Friday, and it is summer-time in the greater North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area, then you’ll want to make sure you’re in the Downtown Kings Beach area for the FREE Music on the Beach concert series in 2024!

Concerts will start on Friday, June 14, 2024, (excludes August 9) and will run through Friday, August 30, 2024 (beginning of Labor Day Weekend).  

We are so lucky to have so many fantastic, free, outdoor events that you’ll want to take advantage of all of them, including the summer Kings Beach downtown live music concerts on the sandy beaches of Lake Tahoe this year!

This annual event at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area is sponsored by the North Tahoe Business Association and local businesses.

The fun begins around 6 p.m. with food, beer, wine, and soda – (no outside alcohol. or pets), available for purchase and the music will start around 6:30 p.m.

Listen, dance, or just relax on the sandy beaches in Kings Beach and a great evening of music!

Event organizers have done a great job in scheduling a wide variety of music from week to week, making each week a special and unique event for you!

Kings Beach Summer Concerts – 2024

Where:  Kings Beach State Recreation Area | 8318 North Lake Blvd., Kings Beach, CA 96143

When:  Opens at 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Come early as beer, wine, and food sales begin at 6 p.m. with the music beginning at around 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Kings Beach Concert Goer Tips:

  • Only Low Back Chairs.  If you bring a high-backed chair, be prepared to be on the side of the group, and at the back.
  • Bring blankets, sleeping bags, beach mats, and beach towels if you’re going to sit on the beach or grass
  • Stay hydrated!  Even with beverages for sale, you’ll still want to stay hydrated, so drink water!
  • No dogs are allowed at the Kings Beach State Recreation area, so plan ahead for a doggie sitter at home! 
  • No outside food or beverage (must be 21+ years or older for adult beverages).
  • The fun starts around 6:00 p.m. so come early for a good seat and enjoy some people watching before the concert begins!  As a FYI – Lake levels are very high this year, so beach seating is more limited.
  • This is a FREE event and it is appropriate for all ages!
  • All events are subject to weather permitting and safety protocol conditions.
