SnowFest! 2013, North Lake Tahoe, California
SnowFest! 2013 is only a few days away, and I can’t wait for the fun to begin! Each year, since 1982, North Lake Tahoe becomes the place to be with ten days and nights of crazy winter fun, events, and activities for everyone.
SnowFest! has become the largest winter carnival in the west. Event organizers plan all-year to make this winter snow festival event and experience one that will bring people back year-after-year. This year SnowFest! 2013 officially begins on Friday, March 1, 2013, and will end on Sunday, March 10, 2013.
SnowFest! will unofficially begin with a Kick-Off Fund Raising Party on Thursday, February 28, 2013 with a “Get your SnowFest! On” at Garwood’s in Carnelian Bay. A $25 donation at the door gets you into this SnowFest! party, along with appetizers, Wet Woody’s, Wine and Beer, as well as a Great Raffle. Get ready to bring in SnowFest! with this kick-off party!
If you’ll be up in the greater Tahoe City – Truckee, North Lake Tahoe, California area you’ll want to take advantage of all of the fun events.
Some of my favorite events are on Saturday, March 2, 2013, which will include starting the day off with a Pancake Breakfast, followed by the Tahoe City SnowFest! Parade, and the 23nd Annual classic Polar Bear Swim at Garwood’s, just to name a few events on Saturday.
Pace yourself because there’s more fun on Sunday, March 3, 2013 with the 37th Annual Great Ski Race, the Dog Pull Contest, and the Sunnyside Laua. There are many events through-out the week, and the following weekend you’ll have another chance for pancakes, and to watch a parade in Kings Beach. So much fun just waiting for you here in North Lake Tahoe!
