4th of July Weekend in North Lake Tahoe 2016
It’s the 4th of July weekend in North Lake Tahoe 2016 and there is so much to do! Fireworks (two nights), a parade, arts and crafts fair, free music concert, not to mention just being here in North Lake Tahoe with all of our regular activities!
The heat wave that has come over Northern California is going to make being in North Lake Tahoe the place to be this holiday weekend. We will have a lot of people up in the area, so plan ahead and give yourself extra time to get from Point A to Point B.
Here are some of the top things to do this holiday weekend in North Lake Tahoe:
July 3, 2016 – Kings Beach 4th of July Fireworks and Beach Party (yes their Fireworks show is on Sunday, July 3, 2016). The party starts at 4 p.m. and will go to 10 p.m. It’s free and you’ll find the fun on the public beaches in downtown Kings Beach!
July 3, 2016 – Tahoe City Free Sunday Concerts at Commons Beach in Downtown Tahoe City starting at 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. featuring the Mumbo Gumbo band
July 3, 2016 – Homewood – Last day for the Homewood Fine Arts & Crafts Festival. Free Admission. If you miss seeing this, you’ll get a few more chances during the rest of the summer to check these amazing artist out: July 22-24, July 29-31, Aug 12-14 and Sept 2-4, 2016 all in downtown Homewood at the Homewood Ski Resort parking lot.
July 4th – Truckee Hometown Parade – starts at 10 a.m. on Monday in downtown Truckee – Free get there early, bring your own lawn chair, perhaps an umbrella to protect you for the sunshine, drink plenty of water, and have a great time!
July 4th – Downtown Tahoe City – Funky Beach Bash and Fireworks – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Commons Beach – cost is Free. Fireworks will start at dusk. Get there early to find your spot for the best viewing. This all day event will feature free music, games, food vendors, beverages, and fun in downtown Tahoe City!
July 4th – West End Donner Lake Fireworks – 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. music, games, and fun with the fireworks at the end of the day. This is a ticketed event at the West end of Donner Lake in Truckee, CA and the cost is $6/ticket. For more info www.TDRPD.org
Your idea of fun for the 4th of July may be just hanging out at the beach here in Lake Tahoe followed by a quiet night at home with a great BBQ on the deck, which is also a lot of fun and a great way to spend the holiday, but if you want to be out and about, check out one of the free events around in North Lake Tahoe.
