One of my favorite places to get my morning coffee, okay my Chi Tea Latté and chocolate croissant is the Tahoe House in Tahoe City, California.

This gourmet coffee and bakery is located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe about ½ miles south of the “Y” in Tahoe City, right on Highway 89 South. The Tahoe House is open at 6 a.m. daily.

This is a local favorite for gourmet coffee, breakfast on the go, lunch (dine-in, or to go), and cakes. There are a lot of things that I really like about the Tahoe House. The staff is always super friendly, and the service is really good. It’s really impressive as to how fast they can get their gourmet coffee orders out. The wait is never long!

The Tahoe House has a lot of local charm. In the winter you can grab your coffee, or have lunch and work on your laptop while enjoying their wireless internet and the warmth of the fireplace. In the summer you can enjoy dining outside.

The Tahoe House also has a small gourmet store loaded with items to make any dish, or meal a special one. They also have items ready to be re-heated at home, or to take on a picnic including beer and wine.
