Arts and Crafts Fair, Kings Beach Summer 2013 ScheduleThere are so many things I enjoy during our summer season here in Lake Tahoe.  One of my favorites is going to the Annual Beth Weber Arts and Crafts Fair in Kings Beach, California!

The Beth Weber Arts and Crafts Fair event has been on the beaches of Kings Beach for over thirty years.  Personally, I’ve been going to this summer event for over twenty-five years and I’ve always enjoy looking at the local Tahoe and Western United States artisans’ wares and finding that special piece of artwork, piece of jewelry, or unique treasure that just makes me smile!

You’ll find the combination of summer sunshine, sandy beaches, the blue waters of Lake Tahoe in the background along with all of the different artist booths one of the best ways to shop, wander around, and enjoy your day here in Kings Beach.

I love admiring the work these talented individuals have produced.  You’ll find jewelry, paintings, pottery, glassware, clothing, and so much more.  You’ll discover some amazing treasures here in Lake Tahoe.

Located at the Kings Beach Plaza (Corner of Hwy 28 and Coon Street), you’ll enjoy seeing all of the items for sale, along with just being here in Lake Tahoe.

Arts and Crafts Fair, Kings Beach Summer 2013 ScheduleThe Arts and Crafts Fair in Kings Beach is free to the public and is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Here is their Summer 2013 schedule for the Kings Beach area:

June 28, 29, and 30, 2013 

July 4, 5, 6, and 7, 2013 (4th of July Holiday Weekend)

Partial Proceeds will be donated to the NTBA (North Tahoe Business Association) 

July 19, 20, and 21, 2013 

July 26, 27, and 28, 2013 

August 16, 17, and 18, 2013 

August 30, and 31, and September 1 and 2, 2013 (Labor Day Weekend)

Each fair is dedicated to a local non-profit group, so come out and support art in Tahoe.  If you have questions, or are interested in becoming a vendor call 530-546-2768

Homes for sale in Dollar Point, Tahoe City, CA 96145 The Dollar Point neighborhood of Tahoe City is located approximately three (3) miles east of the “Y” in downtown Tahoe City on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, California.

The Dollar Point neighborhood is a residential lakeside neighborhood location and is between downtown Tahoe City and the commercial area of Carnelian Bay and typically commands a market premium for the location and Dollar Point home owner recreational amenities.

The Dollar Point neighborhood of Tahoe City, California has a few, smaller, older Tahoe cabins, but the neighborhood is mostly a mix of larger mountain homes and newer luxury properties.

Homes for sale in Dollar Point, Tahoe City, CA 96145 Dollar Point has approximately 569 parcels, of which, 39 are lakefront properties.  The Dollar Point area offers a number of properties with lake view with roughly 40% of the homes in this subdivision having some sort of view of Lake Tahoe, making this a highly desirable neighborhood in North Lake Tahoe.

Dollar Point homes for sale are very desirable because of their close proximity to Lake Tahoe recreational activities such as boating, hiking, biking, tennis, golf, skiing, shopping, and restaurants, along with its private home owner association.

The Dollar Point area is known for its easy year-around access, the larger lot sizes, and the nice wide streets.  It’s an easy neighborhood to get to on a year-around basis, and vacation rentals in the area are always in demand.

One of the features that most Dollar Point homes for sale have is the Dollar Point Association (DPA) membership. The DPA is an optional home owners’ association and their amenities include a seasonal swimming pool, tennis courts, gated private beach area, shared pier, and buoy rental option for members. Homes for sale in Chambers Landing area in Homewood, CA 96141 The Chambers Landing area of Homewood, California is located approximately 7.5 miles south of the “Y” in Tahoe City, on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

This West Shore neighborhood is located between the McKinney Shores neighborhood, and Tahoma, California.

The Chambers Landing area is known as “Chamberlands”, with the condominium development officially having the name Chambers Landing.

The Chambers Landing – Chamberlands neighborhood area is a charming Tahoe neighborhood, which has a mix of smaller, older Tahoe Cabins, along with larger, newer luxury mountain homes.  The appeal of the Chambers Landing area is the Beach and Mountain Club, and the full Chambers Landing Club Membership.

Not all property owners are members, but for those that are, the Beach and Mountain Club provides a neighborhood shuttle service to the public beach area at Chambers Landing.  Those owners that have a full Chambers Landing Club Membership have access to the Chambers Landing lakeside pool, private beach area, use of the pier, and tennis courts.

A full Chambers Landing Club membership adds significant market value to a property to a comparable property that does not have the membership, and is a highly desirable area on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

Homes for sale in Chambers Landing area in Homewood, CA 96141 Membership is restricted by geography to Chambers Landing/Chamberlands, or the Chamberlands Addition.  If a home is located in these subdivisions and if the property does not already have a full Chambers Landing Club membership, there are full Chambers Landings Club memberships available for sale with a buy-in price of approximately $50,000 as of the summer 2013.

The entire Chambers Landing area is either walking distance, or a short bike, or car ride to the beach area.  All property owners can use the public beach area at Chambers Landing, so if you don’t have the full membership you can still have access to Lake Tahoe here.

Chambers Landing was established in the late 1800’s and is a well-known landmark in Lake Tahoe.   Perhaps you’ve had a Chambers Punch at the Chambers Bar and Grill?  This very desirable West Shore, Lake Tahoe neighborhood is located in Homewood, California and is a great place to live year-around, or be a second home owner.

Homes for sale in Tahoe Park, Tahoe City, CA 96145 The Tahoe Park neighborhood of Tahoe City, California is located approximately two (2) miles south of the “Y” in Tahoe City on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

 

Officially the Tahoe Park subdivision is called “Lake Tahoe Park”, but locally the area is known as “Tahoe Park”.  Many know this area because of its close proximity to the Sunnyside Resort and Fire Sign Café restaurant.

The Tahoe Park area has the charm of the smaller, older Tahoe cabins, along with newer, larger, luxury mountain homes.   There are approximately 353 parcels in this neighborhood with 33 lakeside (not lakefront, but lakeside of Highway 89 South) parcels.  There are no lakefront parcels with in the Tahoe Park subdivision.

Property located in the Tahoe Park area comes with the highly desirable Lake Tahoe Park Homeowner Association (LTPHOA, also known as the “Tahoe Park HOA”) with its gated beach area, two piers, and BBQ areas.

Homes for sale in Tahoe Pines, Homewood, CA 96141 The Tahoe Pines neighborhood of Homewood, California is located approximately five (5) miles south of the “Y” in Tahoe City on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

 

The Tahoe Pines area is a small, West Shore neighborhood, that is just a couple of miles north of the Homewood Ski Resort.  This West Shore neighborhood is close to Lake Tahoe recreational activities such as boating, hiking, biking (dirt and paved trails), tennis, golf, skiing, shopping, and restaurants.

The Tahoe Pines neighborhood has approximately 464 parcels in the Tahoe Pines neighborhood with approximately 12 lakefront properties.  The Tahoe Pines area is a mix of smaller, older, charming Tahoe cabins, to larger, newer luxury mountain homes, with a limited number of lakefront properties.

Lakefront homes in the Tahoe Pines area are highly sought after as they are not directly located on Highway 89 South.  Lakefront homes in Tahoe Pines are located on Belleview Avenue.  Since they are away from the main highway their setting lacks highway road noise and there is only local traffic in the area, not the high-volume traffic on Highway 89 South.
