Art, Wine and Music Festival - Squaw Valley, July 13 - 14, 2013 Get ready to have some fun at the annual Art, Wine, and Music Festival at the Village at Squaw Valley this Saturday and Sunday, July 13, 2013 and Sunday, July 14, 2013.  This is a great event to sip some wine, see some great artists, and enjoy a day of music!

You’ll have two different days to check this great event out, or be their both days!  This year the event will start at 11 a.m., with wine tasting beginning at 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The cost is a $25 donation to the Disabled Sports USA Far West group.  You’ll get a commemorative wine glass and unlimited wine tasting.  What a great way to support a wonderful group and make a fun day out of the donation!

Here is a line-up of the music that is scheduled for both days:

Saturday, July 13, 2013

  • 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Tim Snider on the Main Stage
  • 12 noon to 2 p.m. – TBA on the 2nd Stage
  • 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. – Blarney Band on the Main Stage
  • 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. – New World Jazz Project on the 2nd Stage
  • 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Milton Merlos on the Main Stage

Art, Wine and Music Festival - Squaw Valley, July 13 - 14, 2013 Come see the Squaw Valley Village that will be lined with fine artists, crafts, performers and musicians on two different stages on either Saturday, or Sunday.  What a great way to spend a great summer day here in Tahoe than by being outside in Squaw Valley sipping wine, shopping, and having a fun day with some of Squaw Valley’s finest shops, restaurants, and artists that have come in for this special event.

Summer in Lake Tahoe – June 2013Summer is in full swing here in Lake Tahoe.  Our day time temperatures are in the low 80’s and in the evenings we’re back down into the 50’s!  It’s the perfect combination beautiful sunny hot summer days and cool summer evenings

If you haven’t planned your summer trip to Lake Tahoe, there is still time to be here.  Many of you live close enough that you can easily plan a nice day trip here.  So now is the time to get your calendars out and select several weekends, or pick a week to come up enjoy beautiful Lake Tahoe!

Truckee – Tahoe Airport AirFair & Family Festival, Saturday, July 6, 2013Today is the Truckee – Tahoe Airport AirFair and Family Festival, Saturday, July 6, 2013.  The event started at 10 a.m. today and will go until 4 p.m.

There will be events all day long including planes soaring and swirling in the air, stunt jumpers flying in wing suits, Grand Marshal “Bud” Anderson WWII Triple Ace will be there, along with kids activities, a food court,  beer garden, and vendor village.  Admission is free and so is the parking!

What could be more fun than a day of Tahoe sunshine, watching stunt planes, having an ice cold beer, and something from the food court?

This is a fun, free event and it’s a great way to enjoy a beautiful summer holiday weekend day up here in the greater Truckee area.

You’ll find amazing artists and unique crafts and jewelry at the Pacific Fine Arts and Crafts festival this coming weekend, July 4, 5, 6, and 7, 2013 at the Homewood Ski Resort parking lot.

I really enjoy going from booth to booth looking for the special piece of art, pottery, jewelry, trinket, or unique item that will remind me later of when I purchased it.  Call me sentimental, but I like looking around my rooms and seeing the special items that remind me of a vacation trip, a special friend, or a summer day here in Lake Tahoe.

I admire the talent it takes to create an original work of art.  You’ll find jewelry, paintings, pottery, glassware, clothing, and so much more.  You’ll discover some amazing treasures here in Lake Tahoe.
