XC Ski Swap – Tahoe City, Saturday, November 14, 2015

It’s not too late to check out California’s largest cross country (XC) ski swap event, today, Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tahoe Cross Country facility at 925 Country Club Drive in Tahoe City, CA!

Admission is free for buyers and you’ll find great deals on new and used equipment. As our world-class ski resorts open early with our recent snow storms, now is the time to check out your winter sports equipment and take advantage of the XC Ski Swap event in Tahoe City today.

What will you find? How about boots, poles, snowshoes, clothing, accessories, skate and classic, telemark and light touring gear just to name a few items.

If you haven’t tried out cross country skiing, this is a great way to pick up all of the equipment you’ll need at a fraction of the cost.

Cold winter temperatures are here, and before you know we’ll be in full swing with all of our winter sports, so take advantage of this large XC Ski Swap event today. Need another reason to shop? This is a fundraiser for the Tahoe XC Ski Education Association so you’re getting a two-for-one by shopping and supporting this local group.

It’s happening right now, the 52nd Annual North Tahoe Ski Sport Super Swap in Tahoe City, today, October 24, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year the North Tahoe Ski Sport Super Swap will be held at the North Tahoe High School gym, which is put on and benefits the local students in the area.

It’s that time of year, the leaves have come off the trees here in Tahoe City and night-time temperatures have now dropped in the the 20’s. It’s the topic of the day as everyone is waiting for that first real snowfall of the season and wondering when that will happen!

This is a great time to check out what still fits, what equipment has seen better days, and to take advantage of rock-bottom prices and re-stock so you are ready for the next season!

You’ll find winter clothing, ski equipment, boots, boards, poles, hats, gloves, accessories, and items you probably never thought of but could really use. It’s a great event that is loaded with steals and deals!

This event is sponsored by the local North Tahoe students and proceeds from the event go to help the their programs.

Cost: $ 1 per Person – Students will also be selling raffle tickets and other goods to raise money, so dig deep and support this great cause!

Tahoe City Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch, Sat., Oct 17, 2015

The air is crisp and there is a nip in the air. It’s that time of year when pumpkins, scare crows, and fall is every where you look in Lake Tahoe.

If you’ll be up in the greater Tahoe City area on Saturday, October 17, 2015, be sure to take some time to be at the Tahoe City Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch, a pre-Halloween holiday event here in Tahoe City, California.

This year the Tahoe City Annual Harvest Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch event will take place at the Rideout Community Center on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in the Timberland neighborhood from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a great, local family fun, Tahoe City community event that will be fun for all ages.

There will be a lot to do and see. The children will have a great time with the Pumpkin Patch, Carnival games, Pumpkin Seed Hunt, Pie Eating Contest, Hayrides, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Cake Walk, Food, Cotton Candy, and it wouldn’t be a Fall Festival with out a Costume Contest!

Did I mention there will be a Great Pumpkin Seed Hunt that will start at 12 noon? If you’ve heard of the Easter Egg Hunt, will this is Tahoe City’s Fall version with the hunt for the big seed. be sure to get there early, so you don’t miss out on the fun!

If you have missed some of the other fun fall events in North Lake Tahoe this year like the Tahoe City Oktoberfest, or the Squaw Valley Oktoberfest over the past few weeks you still have a chance to enjoy some fall, pre-holiday Halloween fun here in the greater Tahoe City area at this year’s annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch event.

The event is free, but $6 Rabies vaccines will be offered, as well as pet safety and wellness information. Donations are welcomed for on-going maintenance. You’ll find the new Tahoe Vista Dog Park at the North Tahoe Regional Park at 6600 Donner Road in Tahoe Vista, California.

Saturday, October 31, 2015 4:30 p.m – 6:30 p.m. Put on your Halloween costume and be in the Downtown Tahoe City area and collect sweet treats from local businesses that will be handing out Trick-o-Treats, which is free for everyone on Saturday, October 31, 2015.

While you’re in town during the month of October, enjoy checking out all of the local scarecrows on parade that were made by local non-profit, local businesses, and grade school children!

If you don’t want to host your own yard sale, but you do have un-wanted, un-used, or general house-hold clutter that you’d like to get rid of and turn those items into cash, then consider selling them at the Community Rummage Sale this Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Rideout Center in the Timberland neighborhood in Tahoe City, CA.

As a seller you can rent a booth space and sell your stuff. Booth space is only $10 and you keep 100% of your proceeds. Vendors can drop off goods on Friday, May 30, 2014.

Buyers will get the chance to shop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, so if you’re looking for items for your home here in Tahoe, you’re interested in sprucing up your current space with something new, or if you just enjoy the hunt for treasure at a bargain price this is your chance to see many different sellers all in one spot!

Spring has come early to the Lake Tahoe – Truckee area this year.

The snow is gone at the lake level, the bike paths are clear n both the North Shore and West Shores and Commons Beach is ready for this years Spring Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt.

While our evenings are still cold, day time temperatures have been in the 50’s to 60’s and with our sunshine, it makes for a great spring day.

A light jacket will be perfect for the 10 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt here in Tahoe City, California this year! In addition to hunting for eggs, there will be games, music, face painting prize raffle and more!

If you’ll be up in the greater Tahoe City, West Lake Tahoe, or North Lake Tahoe area this coming weekend, don’t forget the Tahoe City Parks and Recreation’s annual Easter Egg Hunt.

This year the Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Commons Beach in downtown Tahoe City, California on Saturday morning, April 4, 2015. Commons Beach is a beautiful, lakefront park in downtown Tahoe City and you’ll find it directly across from the Cobblestone Mall. What a fun setting to be hunting for colorful eggs with beautiful Lake Tahoe as your background view!

This year’s Easter Egg hunt promises to be a good one, so if you have a little one who enjoys hunting for Easter Eggs, or you just enjoy watching those in the hunt, this is a fun event to be at.
