Vote - North Lake Tahoe - Tuesday November 8 2016Today is Tuesday, November 8, 2016, and it is Election Day in American!  

This is a Presidential election year, Congressional Seats are on the ballot, and there are a number of local races, propositions, and measures to cast your votes on!

If you are registered to vote, today is the day to cast your ballot if you haven’t already voted early, or by mail.  

If you’re signed up to vote by mail and you haven’t already mailed your ballot for this election in California, you’ll need to walk your ballot into one of the voting polls.

It does not matter who you support, or if you have a party affiliation, all that matters is that you go and cast you ballot.  Participate in the process is what makes our country different from all of the others, so you have a responsibility to do your part today and vote!

Truckee Ski and Snowboard Swap Nov 5 2016It’s happening right now, the 34th Annual Truckee Ski and Snowboard Swap, Saturday, November 4, 2016 at the new Truckee Community Recreation Center (at the Pioneer Center Road Round-A-Bout Hwy 267 and Donner Pass Road) in Truckee, California.

If you’re in the greater Truckee, California area, this is the winter sports equipment event for you!

The cost is only $2 a person, children under 12 are free, from 11 a.m. today until 4 p.m. today.

It’s looking like we are headed for a big winter season here in the Truckee – North Lake Tahoe area, so this is a great way to get newer equipment at a fraction of the price.

You’ll find local representatives from Tahoe ski shops and the nearby ski resorts on hand to answer to your questions.  If you’re looking for winter clothing, ski equipment, boots, boards, poles, hats, gloves, accessories, and items you probably never thought of but could really use, you’ll find it here.

This event is sponsored by the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District and proceeds from the event go to help the District’s Youth Sports Programs.

Winter is Coming – North Lake Tahoe!

Winter is Coming – North Lake Tahoe!We all know that the seasons have changed from hot summer to cool fall days, but today was a clear sign that winter is coming to the North Lake Tahoe area!

This photograph was taken around 3 p.m. today in Tahoe City on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe near the Ward Creek area.  It’s not a lot of snow, but since we were expecting heavy rain today, it was a surprise to see how quickly the trees were being coated with snow.

While this snow won’t last, the temperatures are dropping, and with the heavy rain storms that we’ve had over the past few weeks, this super slushy snow today, is a good sign that our local ski resorts will soon be open for an amazing 2016-2017 winter season!

If you haven’t done your Tahoe home winter prep, you still have time, but the clock is ticking.  Today I order a new deck table and chair cover as the old one was just too far gone to last another winter.  Take a look around and make sure you’re ready for a heavy snowfall season too!

Next Sunday, November 6, 2016 is Daylight Saving time, which means it’s time to set your clocks back an hour, check your safety supplies and devices like smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, along with flashlights, candles, matches/lighters, batteries, and anything else that keeps you safe during our colder weather.

Other reminders that the clocking is ticking, as of the date of this post October 30, 2016, we only have 61 days left in 2016, which means the holidays and the start to another new year is right around the corner!

The Dollar Hill II Condo development is located on the Tahoe City – North Shore, CA area  and is a mountain-side condominium development.  The Dollar Hill complex is located at 3115 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, CA 96145.

The Dollar Hill II Condo development is located approximately 2.75 miles east of the “Y” (stop light) in downtown Tahoe City on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.

The Dollar Hill II Condo complex was built in the early 1970’s .  It is a mountain-side medium sized condominium development with approximately ninety-four +/- 94 units.

The Northshore Condo development is just outside of the downtown Tahoe City – North Shore, CA area.
