Toys for Tots, Zano’s – Truckee, California 2013

It’s that time of year when the local Toys for Tots Collection parties will start taking place. Zano’s Family Italian & Pizzeria and the United States Marine Corps Reserve are hosting the Truckee-Donner Chamber Mixer and Toys for Tots Collection Party tonight, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Zano’s restaurant in Truckee, California from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tonight is the first kick-off collection party for the Lake Tahoe – Truckee Toys for Tots program. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage along with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign is once again collecting toys for local North Lake Tahoe children in need.

You’ll find toy collection sites through-out the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area in many local businesses. You can bring your new, unwrapped toy to one of the four Toys for Tots kick-off parties, or you can drop off your new, unwrapped toys at any of the local businesses (you’ll see the Toys for Tots collection banners outside each bysiness), including all Coldwell Banker offices.

Zano’s is the only Toys for Tots collection kick-off party in Truckee. This year Zano’s will be providing free appetizers, desserts, a no-host bar, and live music by Sheldon Felich! Santa will also be present for photos and handing out candy canes.

When: Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Cost: Bring a new, unwrapped toy for children ages newborn to 17 years

The Tahoe-Truckee Toys for Tots toy collection campaign will run through December 12, 2013.

There are three more Toys for Tots Kick-Off party after tonight – Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Sunnyside Resort & Lodge from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. or later on Friday, December 6, 2013 “The Gang” Game Night at Rosie’s Café from 7 p.m. on, with live music by the Space Heaters at 9 p.m. (Adults only for the 9 p.m. event), or on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the River Ranch Lodge Welcome Party at Highway 89 and Alpine Meadows Road.

Giving comes in so many different ways, this is your chance to make a difference for the local Tahoe-Truckee area children so come out and have some fun at Zano’s Toys for Tots event.

Agate Bay, CA 96140 Current Real Estate Market Trends – December 2013

Here are some current real estate market trends and data for the Agate Bay neighborhood of Carnelian Bay, California 96140 area. This is my local view of what the Agate Bay housing market is really doing.

The number of homes for sale in the Agate Bay neighborhood of Carnelian Bay is extremely limited as of 12/02/2013. The lack of homes for sale in Agate Bay is helping to support higher prices for the area.

The Agate Bay area is becoming harder to get into with a current starting price at just under $600,000, making it one of the more expensive communities on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe to get into with a current available home listed sales price range of $575,000 to $999,000 (as of 12/02/2013).

The high-end luxury market has been stronger with good Agate Bay home sales, with over 44% of all sales over $500,000 and over 22% of all sales in Agate Bay over $750,000.

The entire North Lake Tahoe area has improved and as we move into our winter season serious Agate Bay home buyers may find the selection of mountain homes and cabins for sale very limiting, which may turn out to be a great opportunity for Agate Bay home sellers who decide to put their properties on the market this winter and take advantage of lack of inventory and seller competition.

Here are some current real estate market trends and data for the Tahoe Pine neighborhood of Homewood, California 96141 area for December 2013.

This is my local view of what the Tahoe Pines, Homewood housing market is really doing.

Limited inventory in the Tahoe Pines, Homewood area continues to provide higher pricing support for home sales. The Tahoe Pines, Homewood area is becoming harder to get into with the starting price at just under $600,000, making it one of the more expensive communities on the West Lake Tahoe real estate market to get into with a current home price range of $599,000 to just under $1.3 million (as of 12/02/2013).

The high-end luxury market has been stronger with good Tahoe Pines, Homewood lakefront sales, with one pending sale, with a listed sales price of $4.995 million.

Christmas Trees for Sale – Boy Scout Fund Raiser Tahoe City, CA 2013

It’s that time of year to bring out your holiday decorations and if you’ll need a holiday tree, check out the holiday tree lot that the local Tahoe City Boy Scout Troop 266 opened the day after Thanksgiving and will be open until right before Christmas.

You’ll find the Boy Scout Christmas Tree lot in the Lighthouse Center, 840 North Lake Blvd., (Shopping Center with Safeway in it) in Tahoe City, California.

The Scouts are selling holiday trees up to 12 feet high. The trees are priced at $5 per foot. The trees are all natural with no pesticides, or fertilizers, as the Scouts cut the trees as part of a program to improve our local forest health.

The tree lot is open all the time, so if you’re looking for a tree lot attendant, most likely there won’t be one, as all tree sales are on an honor program so you can go at any time and pick out your tree.

Pick out the tree you want, measure your tree, figure out how much it should be (pricing is posted along with instructions) and then leave your money in the money slot. If you’re feeling generous, add a little extra as a donation to a great local group.

All money raised goes to fund the local Boy Scout programs in the Tahoe area. If you need a holiday – Christmas Tree, be sure to stop by and pick one out. Support the local Tahoe Scouts.

Tahoe Donner Light Up The Night, Lodge Restaurant, November 30, 2013 Tahoe Donner is ready to get the holidays started with their Light Up The Night Event this Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Lodge restaurant and Pub in Tahoe Donner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Light Up The Night holiday event in Tahoe Donner is for the whole family and it’s free. There will be Reindeer Games, S’mores (one of my favorite winter treats), Hot Chocolate, Santa’s Arts and Crafts Workshop, Photos with Santa, Letters to Santa, Caroling, and the 8^th Annual Tahoe Donner annual Holiday Tree Lighting event!

While you’re at the Tahoe Donner Light Up The Night holiday event, everyone is encouraged to bring a canned item for donation to the Project MANA food drive. This is a great way to have a fun holiday evening but to also help those that need a little extra help out this holiday season. They will also be having a raffle and you’ll be able to buy tickets to win some great prizes, with those proceeds also going to Project MANA.

This annual holiday tradition at The Lodge Restaurant & Pub in Tahoe Donner is open to the public. Here are the holiday event details:
