Tahoe Truckee Earth Day, Saturday, April 18, 2015The annual Tahoe – Truckee Earth Day event will take place in Squaw Valley.  This is a way to celebrate and promote the region’s unique beauty and how to preserve and protect it.

The Trashion Show is put on by the Truckee High School Envirolution Club.  Each outfit is made by the student and is made out of materials that do not biodegrade easily.

Tahoe Truckee Earth Day, Saturday, April 18, 2015Each outfit is designed to send a message and while there should be some funny outfits, you’ll also learn how you can be more environmentally aware and make better environmental choices!

I’ve seen the Trashion Show and it is a fun event to see.  I was really surprised at how creative the outfits were and what they were made out of.
