Truckee Music in the Park – 2026 Schedule

June 17, 2026 By Laura Allen, Broker Associate, Tahoe Real Estate Agent, CA RE 01473598 | 530-414-1260

Truckee Music in the Park – 2026 Schedule

The greater Truckee and North Lake Tahoe area is an amazing place to visit, explore, live, and enjoy – at any time of the year.

Each of our seasons is great for so many reasons, but our summer season brings out our free, popular local community events!

If it is a Wednesday evening between June 17 – August 26, 2026, then it is a “Music in the Park” event day at the amphitheater located in the Truckee River  Regional Park in Truckee, California.

This popular local event offers a wide-variety of music and each week features a different live music band.

The kick-off of the Truckee Music in the Park starts on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and there are a total of eleven (11) music concerts that you can attend this season.

If you haven’t made plans to be in our area, and you’ve only thought of the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area as your premiere winter sports destination, now is the time to book your summer vacation plans to be here and explore our other popular season!

This local weekly event is admission FREE for everyone (as an FYI, financial donations are encouraged to help keep funding the concerts, and you’ll see the donation boxes at the event, so if you can contribute, please do so.) so there is no reason not to come to this weekly event.

While the greater Truckee and North Lake Tahoe area is known for our world class level winter sports, our summer season is just as spectacular!

Tahoe City Food and Wine Classic – 2026

May 28, 2026 By Laura Allen, Broker Associate, Tahoe Real Estate Agent, CA RE 01473598 | 530-414-1260

Tahoe City Food and Wine Classic – 2026

The Summer season is about to kick-off and it starts with the 19th Annual Tahoe City Food and Wine Classic – 2026!

This event was known for years as the “Annual Tahoe City Wine Walk”, but was updated a few years ago to be called the “Tahoe City Food and Wine Classic”.

This year, the wine and food tasting event will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, between 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Tahoe City, California.

This is a great way to start your summer fun here in the greater North Lake Tahoe area, or to just have a get-away weekend here in our beautiful area!

This event continues to grow, and has historically been a sell-out event, so don’t wait to get your tickets!!!

If you enjoy shopping, wine tasting, snacking on delicious food bites, while being outside in beautiful downtown Tahoe City, then this is the perfect event for you to attend!

I have found that getting a group of close friends together to enjoy this event is a great way to catch-up, while enjoying a variety of wines, and discovering new tasty food bites provided by North Lake Tahoe’s favorite restaurants and caterers!

You don’t have to be a “Foodie” or a “Shopper” to enjoy sampling fine beverages, along with ducking into our local shops.

You’ll want to take advantage of this years’ event specials, sip, sample, and learn more about being in downtown Tahoe City, California by getting your tickets early.

Last year over 800+ Tahoe City Wine Walkers enjoyed this great event!

I can tell you from personal experience the Tahoe City Food and Wine Classic is a lot of fun to go to this event.

Each year the offering are different.  You never know what the downtown Tahoe City area will have you sample until you spend an afternoon walking from one end to the other.

The annual food and wine event is a fun event to remind you why we love living here in the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area and what our local downtown area has to offer!

Here are my Tahoe City Food and Wine Classic participant tips from past years that will help you really enjoy the event:

1)     Comfortable Shoes –  Only wear comfortable walking shoes! By the time the day is over you will easily have walked between 1 -2 miles if you hit every station.

2)     Designated Driver – Plan ahead and have a designated driver, or just call a cab to start your trip off right. Other options:  Uber, The bus TART (Tahoe Area Rapid Transit), a friend, or walking to and from your home if you live nearby.  No bikes.  Riding a bike while intoxicated can be just as dangerous as driving a car, and you can be ticketed for it.

3)     Wear Layers & Sunscreen -.  The weather may be sunny, clear skies, or cloudy, rain, and/snow.  You never know in early June, so I recommend dressing in layers and be prepared for Tahoe weather!  You’ll be outside for 3+ hours, so check the weather forecast and give yourself options!

4)     Hydrate –  Drink plenty of water as you go along the way!  It’s fun to sample the wine, beer, or liquor, but before you know it time will have slipped by, so hydrate as you move from stop to stop.

5)     Pace Yourself –  Pacing is the key to a great Tahoe City Wine Walk event.

Remember you’re doing the Tahoe City Food and Wine Classic (walk) at an elevation of 6,200+ feet above sea level, so pace yourself!  Grab a seat whenever possible, drink plenty of water, don’t get too much sun on yourself, and take it easy.  You’ll want to enjoy Sunday as much as you enjoyed Saturday here in North Lake Tahoe!

Made in Tahoe Festival – Olympic Valley Spring 2026

May 21, 2026 By Laura Allen, Broker Associate, Tahoe Real Estate Agent, CA RE 01473598 | 530-414-1260

Made in Tahoe Festival – Olympic Valley Spring 2026

It’s late Spring here in the greater North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area and if you are looking for something to do over the upcoming holiday weekend, check out the Made in Tahoe Festival – Olympic Valley Spring 2026 Festival this Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, 2026 at the Village at Palisades Tahoe!

Our late Spring Early Summer weather is always a guessing game, so I always recommend dressing in layers.  While this weekend will be sunny, with temperatures in the mid-60’s, have a light jacket or sweater to put on.  It is always nice to have that extra layer if it gets windy, or is overcast.

In the past the items sold are either made in the local Lake Tahoe Basin – greater Truckee area, or they are inspired by our local beauty.

You’ll find this local festival is loaded with arts, crafts, exhibits, music, entertainment, and local food and drink vendors, in addition to the Village restaurants, bars, and shops to choose from, and the admission to the event is FREE!

The Made in Tahoe event use to only happen once a year, but back in 2023, they added a second event – one in the Spring and one in the Fall.

Now this event happens twice a year – once in the Spring, and once in the Fall, so you now have two chances to shop local and enjoy being up here in the North Lake Tahoe area.

It’s a great way to find that special gift for that hard-to-please loved-one, or a way to treat yourself, along with supporting Tahoe artisans and businesses!

Along with shopping the vendors, eating and drinking that you can do, you’ll also enjoy listening to variety of local music all day long!

I would expect to find jewelry, paintings, pottery, glassware, clothing, and so much more! You never know what you’ll find at our local fairs and festivals so you won’t want to miss this one.

The Made in Tahoe event will also have a number of local food and beer vendors, so if shopping isn’t your thing to do, but eating and drinking is, then you’ll still have a fun afternoon out!

Here are the event details:
Made in Tahoe Festival – Olympic Valley May 23 and 24, 2026

Tahoe City Farmers Market 2026

May 13, 2026 By Laura Allen, Broker Associate, Tahoe Real Estate Agent, CA RE 01473598 | 530-414-1260

Tahoe City Farmers Market 2026

The Tahoe City Farmers Market 2026 reopens this Thursday, May 14, 2026, and will run through Thursday, October 22, 2026 (weather permitting)!

The return of our outdoor local Tahoe City Farmers Market is something that I always look forward to each year!

After shoveling snow, and having to wear a jacket for months, the change in our seasons means our amazing Tahoe summer is right around the corner for the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area!

If you’ll be up in the greater Tahoe City – Truckee area during our warmer months, you’ll want to make sure to stop by the Tahoe City Farmers’ Market and take advantage of the fresh fruits, veggies, and bakery items just to name of few of the items you’ll find at this seasonal market!

Local farmers and merchants from the greater Auburn Foothill area and the North Lake Tahoe area bring in their goods for sale into the downtown area of Tahoe City, California in a small open-air market once a week.

The Tahoe City Farmers Market is one of the most scenic settings that you will find, with this one being on the edge of beautiful Lake Tahoe!

Depending on the time of the season (early, mid, or late summer) you’ll find bread, pastries, jams, vinegar, olive oils, artesian cheeses (if you love cheese then you won’t want to miss the “Cheese Lady” from Dedrick’s Cheeses), meat, fish (yes, my Craig is a big fan of) The Little Fish Company and their Hawaiian Style Ahi Poke, and if you know what you want, you can always pre-order and pick-up  at the market.

I really enjoy the fresh-picked fruit off the trees, or the sweet smell of those fresh strawberries – so delicious!

Other items you’ll may find at the Tahoe City Farmers Market: honey, herbs, mushrooms (yes there has been a vendor that offers just mushrooms), onions, beets, kale, chard, arugula, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, artichokes, asparagus, apples, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, apricots, peaches, and depending on the season you’ll find a great assortment of fresh food, not to mention a wide variety of vendors.

Along with our fresh foods, there are also non-perishable goods for sale, which may include clothing, jewelry, soaps, lotions, and there is always the surprise of a new vendor!

If you’re in the mood for something to eat right now, you’ll also find depending on the week different specialty food vendors/food trucks which vary from week to week, but in the past have included, pizza, crepes, cupcakes, and Indian food on any given week!

In addition to Farmers Market in Tahoe City on Thursday mornings, there are two (2) other Farmers Markets in our area.

  • Tuesday Mornings at the Truckee River Regional Park in Truckee, CA
  • Thursday Afternoons in Incline Village, NV (about five (5) miles east of Kings Beach)
