It’s back – Gray’s Crossing summer Tuesday evening concert series!

We have a number of local summer events and the  Tuesday evening free outdoor concerts at Gray’s Crossing is one to put on your summer fun list.

If you’re not familiar with Gray’s Crossing, it is a 750 acre planned resort community that is tucked away just off I-80 in the north-east area of Truckee, California. 

Gray’s Crossing is a luxury home development with a limited number of high-end townhomes.

If you’re a golfer and you’ve played in the greater North Lake Tahoe area, then you may already know that Gray’s Crossing is home to a beautiful 18-hole championship golf course designed by Peter Jacobsen. 

Set along the pine trees, mountain meadows, and with views of the Mt Rose mountain range and the Northstar ski resort area, this is one golf course and setting you’ll enjoy from start to finish! 

On Tuesday evenings at PJ’s, the restaurant at the golf course, the area turns into a wonderful setting for an intimate outdoor concert.

You can make a dinner reservation, which offers table seating, or be more casual and bring your blankets and low-back chairs and enjoy the evening on the lawn. 

Either way, you’ll have a fun summer evening out in the greater North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area.

Grays Crossing Tuesday Concerts – 2019 Event Details:

  • Tuesday Evenings | June 18 – September 3, 2019 | From 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Where:  11402 Henness Road, Truckee, CA 96161 (at the Gray’s Crossing Club House, Pro-Shop,and  PJ Restaurant area)
  • Make a reservation for PJ’s A LA Carte Menu Service 530-550-5801. 
    • PJ’s regular menu is not offered on concert nights, so enjoy the special dinner menu. Reservations are required for a dining table, and you need to make them as soon as possible as seating is limited.
  • Lawn space is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. No outside food or beverages. 
    • Walk-up dining is available: Hot dogs, hamburgers and an assortment of wraps and sandwiches, along with a full bar.
  • Cost – Free Admission for Music – Food and Beverage is an additional charge

Tahoe Truckee Earth Day 2019It’s spring in Lake Tahoe and it’s time for the annual Tahoe – Truckee Earth Day 2019 event!  

Check out the Village at  Squaw Valley today and celebrate and promote the region’s unique beauty and how to preserve and protect it.

This is one of the largest eco-events in the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee, California area. 

The Lake Tahoe – Truckee Earth Day events will take place at the Village at Squaw Valley today Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is FREE.  There will be live music, educational information booths, a children’s area, raffle, and the iconic Trashion Show.

The Trashion Show, which is an iconic event is put on by the Truckee High School Envirolution Club. 

Each Fashion Show outfit is made by the student and is made out of materials that do not biodegrade easily.

Outfits are designed to send a message and while there should be some funny designs, you’ll also learn how you can be more environmentally aware and make better environmental choices!

I’ve seen the Trashion Show at past events, and it is fun to see how creative the outfits are and to see them made out of every day items we throw away is really impressive

Easter Egg Hunt Truckee - April 20 2019It’s a holiday weekend and if you’ll be up in the greater Truckee, or North Lake Tahoe area this weekend, don’t forget the Truckee Donner Recreation & Park District’s Great Easter Egg Hunt!

This year the Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 11 a.m. at the Truckee Regional Park in Truckee, California.

The event begins at 11 a.m. with the arrival of the Easter Bunny (photo opportunity) and then the Easter Egg Hunts will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m.

The event will be held in the two ball-fields.  The event is separated by age groups so it will be fun for everyone.

Bring your own basket to the event and dress in layers. 

In the sunshine it will feel great, but the temperatures will still only be in the low 50’s with the possibility of shows on Saturday.

This year’s Easter Egg hunt promises to be a good one, so if you enjoy hunting for Easter Eggs, or just watching those in the hunt, this is a fun event to be at.

Easter Egg Hunt Tahoe City Saturday April 20 2019It’s Easter weekend here in the North Lake Tahoe area!

We are finally seeing signs of Spring after a very snowy winter, and one of those signs in the annual Easter Egg hunt here in Tahoe City.  

Don’t miss out on the annual Easter Egg Hunt Tahoe City this Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Tahoe City Golf Course|Winter Park in downtown Tahoe City behind the Bank of America Building!

As we make the transition towards summer here in the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee area the traditional Easter Egg Hunt is always a welcome event!

Depending on the neighborhood, some of the bike paths are also already clear!  

The downtown area and the path on the North Shore was cleared through-out the winter, but now the West Shore down as far as Timberland  has also been cleared of snow. 

The paved path in Squaw Valley is also clear, and from the Bus Transit Center along the Truckee River has also been plowed out.

Our evenings are still cold in the 30’s, but our day time temperatures have been climbing into the high 60’s.

On Saturday, April 20, 2019 it may be a little cooler with a chance of showers.

At the time of the  Easter Egg Hunt will be in the mid-high 40’s. 

Hopefully the weather will hold and make for a good day to be outside.

For those that will be headed to the Tahoe City Easter Egg Hunt, you’ll want to dress in layers for the 10 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt starting time here in Tahoe City, California!  

If you’ll be up in the greater North Lake Tahoe or Truckee area this coming weekend you’ll want to check out this local event.

This annual event is held the Saturday before Easter Sunday and this year the Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Tahoe City Golf Course in downtown Tahoe City, California. 

In the past this event has been held at Commons Beach, so please note the change in location.

This year’s Easter Egg hunt promises to be a good one, so if you have a little one who enjoys hunting for Easter Eggs, or you just enjoy watching those in the hunt, this is a fun event.

  • When:  Saturday before Easter Sunday, April 20, 2019
  • Event starts at 10 a.m. (Be early)

  • Bring your own basket.
  • This event is FREE.  

Don’t forget our ski resorts are still open with excellent spring skiing snow conditions, which is also a fun way to enjoy your holiday weekend!

Beer and Beverage/Food prices will vary depending on the ticket/item selected.

Must be 21+ age for beer/adult beverages/tastings. 

Our spring weather can be unpredictable – sunshine, rain, even snow.

If you’re headed up here to the greater Tahoe City – Truckee area for the Winter Wonder Grass Festival my suggestion is to dress warm. 

Dress in layers, and if you don’t already have a plastic rain poncho (most hardware stores have them) that can fold up and fit in a pocket, buy one now. 

I can tell you from personal experience, while the rain poncho with attached hoodie will not make the best dressed list, the sheer, light weight plastic material will keep you dry and comfortable all day.

You won’t even mind being in the rain, or snow if it happens.

If you’ve been looking for a reason to come up to Lake Tahoe the annual Winter Wonder Grass Blues and Brews music festival in Squaw Valley this weekend will be a great way to have some fun in Tahoe!
